Purchased about a decade ago, this gorgeous ring is an early piece by Karen Karch, a NYC-based designer who is still working on similar designs with similar materials … just at considerably higher prices! You can find her current selection of moonstone jewelry at her website: http://www.karenkarch.com/Collections/Moonstone/10. This ring received very little wear even back in the day, and has been hiding at the back of my jewel box for way too long. It deserves to see the light of day (or night, considering it’s a moonstone), so it’s being offered up for sale.
Set in sterling silver, it features a faceted moonstone measuring 6mm in its bezel, guesstimated to be between half a carat and seventy five points, and flanked by two four mm cabochons. It has a beautiful blue sheen, and great adularescence. Size 6, easily sizable. It comes in its original box – a collector’s item for sure.

Bought at her original boutique on Mulberry Street in NYC fifteen years ago, this vintage pendant by Margo Manhattan is a clear precursor to her current Cocktail collection, available on her website (http://shop.margomanhattan.com/). Contemporary equivalents are going for around 1K: I’m asking $200 for this one. The lemon quartz measures approximately 23 mm in length by approximately 19 mm in width by precisely 12.3 mm in depth – weight is calculated to be approximately 28 carats. A definite conversation piece!
There are some faint abrasions on the keel, which I've factored into the price: a good lapidary could polish that out for a minimal fee, but they're not eye-visible. The pendant is a bit tarnished, as reflects its age ... I'd be happy to polish it up at the request of the buyer (to my taste, the darkened silver worked well with the modern Gothic feel of the piece). As you can see in the last picture, the bale opens to be worn as an enhancer over pearls or a heavy necklace or chain - I had it wired shut for additional security, but the wire can be removed without any difficulty. It comes with its original pouch – great for the collector of vintage signed pieces.

Purchased about five years ago and worn with love, but at 5.75, it just doesn’t fit my hand anymore, and I’d like to see it go to a good home. Bought from Signed Pieces, it comes with the original Raphael by Facets ring box. It’s laser-inscribed 585, D, .75 on the inside of the shank: no clarity noted, but it was sold as a VVS-quality piece. I don’t think it could be sized much, though with a good jeweler, you never know. A classic piece for the stacking ring aficionado!
ETA: This one gets an emendation and a big thank you to a sharp-eyed PSr - when I bought this back in the day, it was a Signed Pieces return, and they went with the policy that discretion was the better part of valor, listing it as G-H, VS2. Wasn't until I saw the engraving that I queried and got the backstory and original stats ... but you can find the original story and lots more images back at the original posting. My most sincere apologies for any confusion! http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/channel-set-round-eternity-band-pic-overload-t86556.html

Purchased from Aragona Designs in 2006, this rich yellow gold ring features a gorgeous heart-shaped watermelon tourmaline with great, astonishingly vivid coloration, set in a handmade bezel. You look at this weird, wonderful little miracle of nature, with its one-in-a-million shape and its amazingly bright colors, and all you can think is, "Mother Nature LOVES jewelry addicts. Also, delicious food."
Measuring 15.5 mm from the cleft of the heart to the tip, and 14.5 mm across the shoulders as set in the bezel, and 2.7 mm in thickness, the tourmaline is estimated to weigh approximately 5 carats. The shank is 14k gold, and the bezel is 22K.
This is a nice, heavy piece with a lot of heft to it – the gold value alone is significant (though hard to estimate precisely with the tourmaline set). The ring is in excellent, almost unworn condition – but there are a few natural indentations on the surface of the stone, where it looks like the lapidary opted to retain weight rather than think it out by that last half mm. The half-round shank is 3.5 mm wide, 2 mm thick, and fits a size 5.5 comfortably. Due to its construction, it’s hard to measure the size precisely – it reads as a 4.75 on my mandrel, but it fits my 5.5 finger quite comfortably. I do believe it could be sized within reason.
The only comps currently on the designer’s website run several thousand dollars – I’d like to sell this one reasonably quickly, so I’m asking $850, and willing to entertain all reasonable offers.

This pretty art necklace from Aragona Designs features 16 ½ inches of multi-hued green tourmaline beads, culminating in a centerpiece consisting of a prong-set slab of watermelon schorl tourmaline (watermelon tourmaline which features a black center rather than a pink center), measuring approximately one and a half carats. It has great gradiations of color, ranging from black to pale green to dark green to colorless - a very dramatic effect. I've taken pictures of it against every background I could think of ... I want you to know how it would look against your skin as opposed to your beloved black turtleneck or white button-down! A pale green tourmaline cabochon measuring five mm provides the finishing touch at the bottom of the drop. Clasp is marked 585, equivalent to 14k: purchased for over $500, asking $300 – comes with original gift box.

Purchased from Alex Streeter’s Prince Street boutique in 2000, this heavy gold ring originally sold for over $400. Gold prices have gone up, but I like the idea that somebody could get the same pleasure out of it this Valentine’s Day that I did when I originally acquired it. 5.75, and very of-the-season!

Measuring approximately 25 mm, this pretty locket has quite a presence! Worn on a short chain below the collar-bone, it looks like a 19th century maiden’s cherished prize, hung from a long and dangling chain, it’s the height of Temple St. Claire-style chic. Stamped 14k on the bale and featuring a .05 diamond, this would make a perfect present for a sweetheart to carry the image of her beloved, or a mom to insert pictures of her family. It weighs 8 grams.

Purchased from Dover Jewelry originally, this beautiful antique made the perfect pinky ring for me. But now that it no longer fits me … maybe it’ll be the perfect stacker for you? The band is 2.7 mm wide. Hallmarked 18K on a nifty little panel in one of the azures, this ring features 29 natural rubies of approximately 1.7 mm square each, adding up to a tcw of a little more than one carat. Given its age, the ring is in great condition, but the rubies do have some signs of wear. The abrasions are not eye-visible by my standards, but they are clear under 10x magnification. If these pictures do not suffice, say the word, and I’ll snap on the Olloclip to take the highest magnification pics I can.

Hallmarked 14K, this pretty pair was purchased at an antique shop in NYC for the sheer sentimentality of it, way before I met my husband. Of course, it was as far off from his style as is humanly imaginable, so I should conquer my hoarding tendencies and pass the pretty along to somebody who can use it!
The lady’s band is in great condition. It’s a little over a size 6. The niello is dark, and the engraving is crisp. It has some signs of wear at the back of the band, as one might expect from an antique, but it could very easily be polished up by a good jeweler.
The man’s band is a size 9.5. It’s in somewhat worse condition than the woman’s ring – looks like the male half of the pair may have worked with his hands, as the niello is a little faded and the back of the band is almost hammer-finished - but it could also be polished by a jeweler easily. It is 6.75 mm at the front, and tapers to 3.7 mm at the back.
I love these for their history – not many wedding sets have stayed together. It’d be cool to give them a new life together, no?

Size 6.5 and easily sizable, I picked this up at a crafts fair because it was just really cool … not taking into account the many things it could snag on while I was taking care of my toddler! Sigh. It has been worn all of two times, and there’s no reason for it to remain lonely in my jewelry box when it could be acting as somebody’s cooler-than-Cartier conversation-piece. My loss is your gain. Purchased for $150, selling for $100.

This beautiful vintage ring dates to 1940. It is 14k white gold, featuring a .32 early modern round brilliant cut, with approximately another 30 points of single-cut melee. I bought it for my 30th birthday and, alas, it spends more time in tissue paper than it does on my hand: since I wear diamonds on both my ring fingers and this fits my middle, I’ve always been too terrified to wear it and risk chipping. It’s a size 6.5, and easily sizable. Original PriceScope thread with more pics can be found here: http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/star-light-star-bright-t107472.html

This little guy was a gift to me from my parents when I was younger. I never wore it much – it seemed too much like a wedding band when I was young and single, and then once I was married, it didn’t match my white metal wedding set. Perhaps somebody out there who loves yellow gold can give it a good home? It has 7 diamonds measuring approximately 2 mm each, for an estimated carat weight of .03 each, and an estimated tcw of .21 points. It measures 2.7 mm at the front, tapering slightly to 1.8 mm at the back: it is a size 6.5, and I believe it could be sized within reason.

I adore this band, but it no longer fits me, and it deserves to be worn and loved. Here's a link to my original thread, with additional pictures: http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/a-french-cut-band-can-t-be-too-rich-or-too-thin-t188011.html
Size 7, sold to me as a die-cast platinum band from the Edwardian period, the band has somewhere between .30 and .40 points of colorless, VS-quality diamonds. It is a very thin band, only 1.35 mm wide, but it feels sturdy, and judging by the wear - genuine antique, after all - it can be worn without babying. The wear doesn't take away from it, and isn't really noticeable outside of macro shots, but it has that characteristic "dipping" that you can get on older channel-set bands (see pics). The jeweler who sold it to me told me it could be cleaned up and re-milgrained without any trouble, but I like it as-is. It has a tiny sizing band at the back, but I'm leery of resizing eternity bands ... though I am told that sizing beads are on option for up to at least 3/4s of a size, both by a jeweler friend I e-mailed last night, and by some PS'rs who were kind enough to advise me on their own experiences with sizing beads on skinny bands. In fact, I actually just took a look at it with my 30X loupe, and it has two little polished patches of gold on the inside of the sizing bands that look like sizing beads or a horseshoe sizer must have been present at some point.
$1800 is the asking price: as a private seller, I prefer not to take returns unless there's a gross discrepancy of some sort, so please, ask me absolutely anything your hearts desire if you're interested! Purchased from FAO Schwartz on 5th Avenue, this gorgeous collectible necklace from the Noble Collection currently retails for $100. Want a 25% discount? Buy mine! Never worn, still in original packaging – I bought it as a gorgeous symbol of rebirth, and then realized the rebirth did not extend to my likelihood of wearing necklaces. Alas! My loss, your gain – karma shared is karma gained, and this way, I don’t feel guilty every time I see this beautiful necklace going unappreciated in my jewel box!

Modern round brilliant moissanites from Charles & Colvard set in custom-made 14k gold bezels with screw-back posts make for a set that looks like a million bucks without breaking the bank! With the characteristic scintillation and brilliance that makes moissanite such a popular choice these days (all cheer the 21st century, which permits us to live like kings and ornament ourselves with the jewels of emperors and potentates – a handful of moissanite could have easily bought half of Europe, back in the day).
These stones display minimal warmth by the standards of untreated moissanite – I’d put these at the equivalent of a diamond in the near-colorless family, roughly equivalent to a J. Measuring at 5.4mm each, the slim bezel adds another .1mm to each earring to provide great presence on the ear. The last photo is provided to show the richness of the rose gold in comparison to a high karat yellow gold pendant and a vintage Swiss watch in rose gold, but only the earrings are included in this particular listing. These earrings come with the original Charles and Colvard warranty.

This pretty free-form band measures approximately two and a half mm, give or take as the pattern ebbs and flows, and would make a fantastic spacer. The pattern is organic and continuous: I think it could be sized pretty easily, though, with a little bit of care on the part of the jeweler. It measures as a size 7 on my mandrel. Although it’s not hallmarked, I’m pretty sure it’s 18k and would guarantee it as 14k, but I’m pricing it considerably below that, at least until I stop being lazy and order a gold-testing kit!
ETA: Gave up while I was writing this and ordered the gold-testing kit, so I'll confirm or adjust early next week.

This is the second pair of these earrings I’ve had, I love them so much – my best friend felt the same way, so she got the first pair as a present, and after a while I missed them enough that I ordered myself another set! And then I got my ears pierced a few more times … and, unfortunately, while they look stunning and elegant on their own, paired with any of my additional studs, 7mm+ is just too much for me to pull off. My loss is your gain!
The earrings feature a pair of Wink’s heated to “H” color OctaCZ’s, sold as 7mm stones (though they’re actually a little bigger, coming in at 7.2mm on my Leveredge gauge – gotta love getting more bang for your buck!). They’re set in heavy 14k white gold double u-prong settings, and though they came with white gold nuts, I replaced them with broad-backed push-backs to keep them level on the ear. They come in the original pretty packing.
I paid $460: asking $375

These unusual earrings feature approximately a carat of rubies and a carat of sapphires, all bezel-set in rows of alternating color around a hollow core. They're strung with delicate gold chains that end in bezeled tassels, and although abstract, bear a slight resemblance (at least to my mind) to the design principles behind opulent Eastern lanterns. Not hallmarked, I initially thought they were high-carat gold (I have a matching butterfly in 20k), but despite the rich hue, they're a nice, sturdy 12K. These can be sold together as earrings separately for $85 apiece if you'd care to sport one on its lonesome as a pendant.

This delicate vintage Italian mother of pearl cameo set in a 14K white gold prong-setting is a charming combination of old-world elegance and new-world minimalism. The antique mother of pearl cameo has been set into a high-quality four prong setting that keeps the attention on the lady’s graceful profile and the sheen of the material. The setting has a double bail, and is hallmarked “585,” the European equivalent to 14k: cameo measures 10mm by 8mm, and is perfect for everyday wear.

Want finger coverage? Look no further! This ring features a high-quality sterling silver reproduction of a popular style from the Edwardian era. It’s octagonal in shape, which is very flattering to the finger, and generally gives the center-stone an illusory boost in the size department … not that this stone needs it, but, hey, it never hurts! I got it when my ring was in the shop because I wanted to see what a HONKER felt like: answer is, surprisingly wearable, but now that my baby is back in my hands, I'm just not wearing it.
The center stone is cut in the style of an Old European diamond, accurate to the same period as the setting, with a small table and a culet. It is 12mm cubic zirconia, roughly equivalent to a 6 carat diamond, carefully heated to an “H” color, giving it a slightly more realistic hue (though, to be fair, if this ring were in reality what it reproduces, it would cost a million bucks … and I say that after having inquired about a very similar six-carat OEC at Fred Leighton). It measures as a size 6 on my mandrel, but there’s some leeway due to the open undergallery: it fits equally comfortably on my size 7 middle finger as it does on my size 6 ring finger.
This ring can't seem to take a bad picture: it was hard to decide which ones to list! And the effect is the same in real life, if not more so - it's like wearing a disco ball on your hand. Very glamorous! Asking what I paid for the component parts and labor to put 'em together, no more.

5mm each, these earrings provide approximately one carat total weight of sunny yellow shimmer. Set in 14k yellow gold, these are great everyday earrings, and just the right size for either primary piercings or secondary ones if you have big hoops or the like you just want to accentuate.

8.2 mm pearl pendant on a 14k white gold bail. Very pretty white-verging-on-pink hue, good luster, great sheen, and almost completely unblemished. For the sake of full disclosure, it has one tiny pin-prick on its bottom, where it’s invisible from all angles while worn. It’s currently on a very fine 16” sterling silver chain, which can be included if the buyer desires. I've included shots on a variety of backgrounds to give the most honest representation possible ... please don't hesitate to ask if you'd like different views, or have any questions.

Set in 14K and weighing approximately one carat tw, these pretty little heart-shaped amethyst studs are really sweet! They measure 5mm from cleft to tip, and 5.5mm from shoulder to shoulder. Great for date night!

4.5mm diamond, measuring 5.5mm in its bezel, this is the first diamond I ever set. It’s a G, SI1 stone weighing approximately .35 carats. It’s set in silver and fixed on a silver chain, and I had it gold-plated on a whim when I wanted to switch colors. Easy enough to either maintain or to have it returned to a white metal! The chain is 13.5 inches, the last inch of which is adjustable. I designed it to be worn right at the hollow of the throat, but if you want it longer I can either throw in a sterling silver extender of up to five inches, or if you want to, say, wear it as a bracelet (or an anklet, if you’re the adventurous type!), I’d be happy to shorten it to the desired length.

This next one is a bit unusual for me. My husband admired it greatly on our honeymoon, so I bought it for him for our first anniversary ... which took place shortly after he'd just gotten a new job that required a lot of travel.
I'd forgotten the TSA safety regulations.
So, alas, the knife has sat alone and unloved for almost 7 years, and frankly, I'd like to buy him something twice as nice for the next anniversary: if there's a collector out there who'd love to have this lovely thing for their own special occasion, all the better!
This knife isn't madly out of place among my listings: it's as beautiful as any piece of jewelry I've ever enjoyed, if somewhat more handy. It was made by award-winning knife artist Paul Presto of Lone Wolf designs. The blade is forged from Hakkapella style Damascus steel, and the handle is made of genuine blacklip mother of pearl. It was made in a limited edition of 150 pieces, and is now discontinued. It comes with all of its original packaging, and is in mint condition. I'm actually selling it for exactly what I bought it for, years ago ... no profit, just hopefully making a nice exchange with the universe!

I love costume jewelry. It’s beautiful in its own right, and it’s a great way to test-drive designs you’re not 100% sure of: better to wind up with a beautiful travel ring than to regret a large expenditure! Alas, I’ve collected so many that they’re almost on the level of being a large expenditure themselves. So, my acquisitive nature is your gain – I’m clearing out a largish collection.
Designed by the high-end Tacori brand, this size 6 sterling silver five-stone ring features five nicely cut asscher CZs of 4mm each, similar to a diamond weighing approximately half a carat for a look that equals a diamond band with a tcw of 2.5 carats. They’re set in a trellis-style shared prong setting, with a nicely engraved band for a beautiful vintage look. Comes with all of the original branded packaging.

Beautifully crafted of white, yellow, and rose gold, this trinity-style pendant is absolutely charming! It measures half an inch in circumference, which is a great size for everyday wear (and as we all know, one of the beautiful things about tri-gold designs is that they go with absolutely everything). It’s marked 14k on the bale – though it doesn’t come with a chain, I can provide one on demand (otherwise, the pendant will ship with a silk cord for immediate ease-of-wear).

It might not be jewelry per se, but I figured you guys might be as psyched about anything from JAR as I was! Alas, my skin chemistry doesn't work with it, as much as I wish it did ... so maybe on one of you?
Purchased from Bergdorf Goodman, this luxe perfume is basically unused (has been applied sparingly using a cotton swab less than five times). It is only available from Bergdorf's and Joel Arthur Rosenthal's Paris boutique at 14 rue de Castiglione. Rosenthal is one of the most influential jewelers of our age. His jewels have been auctioned by the likes of Sotheby's and Christies, and his exclusivity is legendary: gossip has it that his clients must be referred, and that even then, he is notoriously picky about who he will create for. His perfume line is as close as most can come to experiencing his craft.
This bottle of Diamond Water comes with the original high-end packaging, including the lilac suede JAR pouch, and is being listed for half of its original retail cost. Of the line, one of the better-know perfume reviewers, Luca Turin, said:
"JAR fragrances are uniquely shocking [....] Most normal perfumes are symphonic: the idea is to blend materials the way a composer blends sounds to achieve something which is more than the sum of its parts, with the parts no longer perceptible. But JAR's perfumes aren't normal. They were clearly composed by a guy who spends his days picking out rubies from a box and laying them one by one next to a huge pearl. Gemstones don't mix, God forbid, they just glow like mad. Same with his fragrances. Instead of the usual expert blend we get sensational raw materials juxtaposed and set, all in full view under the bright lights, for maximum effect."
This particular perfume, Diamond Water, is strong on carnation, with an ineffable hint of something else - jasmine? - and a beautiful, complex development.

Sweet and feminine, these coral roses still have a nice presence, measuring 10mm from petal to petal. They’re a real, true coral color, none of this angel-skin or oxblood. Both of those are lovely in their own right, don’t get me wrong, but it’s that combination of pink and orange that makes us love Padparadscha, and it goes for its opaque sibling of the sea, too. They’re set on 14k rose gold posts, hand-carved, and growing increasingly rare, between the phasing out of labor-intensive craft and the pollution of the oceans that makes coral-producing reefs rarer by the day. A rose by any other name …?

Hand-crafted in the traditional Navajo style, this sterling silver cuff bracelet features four bezeled turquoise rounds of approximately one carat each. The turquoise is of very nice quality, with a really vibrant blue hue, and the silver is hand-chased and textured. The bracelet is adjustable, and hallmarked .925.

Sleek but sensuous, this softly rounded square bangle has a hidden clasp. The riveting has been so neatly done that the pivot point is almost invisible. This is a vintage piece from the 70’s, so it’s developed a bit of a patina: one of the loveliest things I ever heard about silver was that it was a mortal metal, to age alongside its owners. It has a very mod air, with its oval center and straight edges. Goes great with its stylistic contemporary, the Apple aesthetic, don’t you think?

Set with approximately twenty carats of wine-red garnet, this heavy sterling silver cuff is wrought in a traditional Indian style. Forged out of a single sheet of sterling silver and decorated with ornate filigree, it’s a wonderful statement piece – wear it with a stark outfit, and you’re elevating it to a striking look, wear it with your best boho finery and you’re raising your game even more. It weighs 152 grams, or 5.36 ounces – a nice, weighty piece, no matter how you measure it. The bracelet has a beautiful patina that I've left untouched, to be decided upon at the buyer's discretion.

Center diamond is 3.6mm in diameter, estimated at 1/5th of a carat, or .20 points. It’s a nice little old mine cut with a good make, G-H color and I’d say VS2 clarity. The side stones are sapphire french cut trillions with some very slight abrasions under the loupe, as would be expected of a piece this age, but to the naked eye they’re perfect, ideal accents to a flowing Edwardian design. The ring is hallmarked 18K, and measures as a size 7 according to my mandrel. Die-stamped in an intricate floral filigree and carefully chased and milgrained, this piece is in great condition and would make a beautiful engagement ring or present to commemorate a special occasion.

A nifty antique/vintage band I bought in Sweden thinking it would look great with my e-ring! Hah, more fool I: from now on, I don't buy to match unless the piece I'm matching is right there, ‘cause despite my most optimistic hopes, it looks a little too clash-y* to my eye. That said, it’s a very cool ring and a very cool stacker! Size 6.5, rich 18k yellow gold, 2.2mm in width, with seven rose-cut stones that are 1.8mm in diameter (approximately .20 points tcw, give or take, according to my best estimation). The box settings themselves are done in platinum, with a very fine milgrain surrounding them. It's engraved "Göran," the Swedish equivalent of "George," in a fine hand. It would be easy enough to have polished out, though I have to admit, I quite like this little touch of its 100 years or so of history ....
*It's pictured below with my solitaire and my french-cut band for a sense of scale, but *only the rose-cut band* is being sold in this listing.

In the Victorian era when this ring was made, snakes were seen to symbolize wisdom and eternal life, and, when given as a sign of commitment, eternal love: they shed their skins and were reborn, and that's the meaning that Albert employed when he presented an engagement ring in the shape of a snake to the young Queen Victoria. Their popularity as symbols of undying love persisted throughout her reign, when this piece was created.
Made of a richly hued rose gold, this ring measures a size 7 (though, the heads not being soldered together, it is adjustable). It is hallmarked on the outside of the shank, where the country assay of Sweden and the letter "V," but alas, the other hallmarks have been worn into illegibility. It tests higher than 18K but lower than 22K: since one of the marks on the shank looks an awful lot like a "9" to me, I'd wager it's 19K. One head features a rose-cut diamond, and the other a rose-cut ruby: both have cunningly carved little faces, with charmingly knowing expressions.
This piece has a lot of sentimental value, but since it falls into that category of just never making it out of the jewelry box, hopefully somebody out there will give it a good home. It would make a wonderful engagement ring or wedding band, given the symbolism. Hard to resist the temptation, in the Year of the Snake!

This delicate sculpture of a nude woman – an acrobat? A dancer? Ribbon dancer? Flying trapeze artist? – is a beautiful example of the goldsmith’s art. There is a maker's mark of some sort hidden in her hair, but I just can't make out what it says - my poor eyesight may be your collectible gain. Although she is not hallmarked, she tests as 14K. She hangs casually from a small gold loop, and is a definite conversation piece. 13mm long, she's the perfect size for a pendant or a charm bracelet. Great for those who want to celebrate their feminine beauty, or as a gift from those in their lives who just plain appreciate it!

Elegant, sleek, and built like a tank: that's what I look for in an eternity band!
This heavy platinum band is channel-set with 25 square step-cut diamonds of approximately .10 each for a total of two and a half carats. The quality of the diamonds is excellent - they've been appraised as being E-F in color and VS in clarity - and the workmanship is equally good, with square azures and very clean channels.
Measuring just a titch over 3mm, this band looks fantastic on its own, stacked with others, or worn with a solitaire, and the sturdy design permits you to wear it almost anywhere.
The diamonds are carre cut: although they're sometimes called asschers, technically speaking that only applies to the square step cut with the clipped corners ... in an eternity band, personally speaking, I tend to prefer the unbroken line. A ring with more or less the exact same specs currently retails at Facets for over 5k: I'm asking less than half of that, at $2400. It's a size 5.75 and not sizeable.

Dating back to the turn of the 19th century, these beautiful high-end paste earrings sparkle like the diamonds they were intended to mimic ... and, in an improvement over their modern counterparts, their distinctive hand-cut faceting makes each stone unique and compelling. There's something charming about knowing that the exact same care was employed in the process of crafting these as in the composition of their more costly equivalents.
Equivalent in size to diamonds of one carat each, the gems are set in fluted 12 prong settings. They dangle from delicately twisted ear wires, and are angled to best flatter the face by presenting at the same angle as the wearer's eyes. I've posted shots in natural and artificial light to give the most complete picture. Gorgeous artifacts of a bygone age, these earrings are a beautiful piece of history.

This Edwardian card case is a gorgeous artifact of the past with some very modern potential! Constructed of a richly hued 14k gold and hallmarked with a "13" and what appears to be either a horizontal trident or pitchfork - I am assuming European - this piece was in all likelihood originally a calling-card case. Measuring approximately 3" by 2 3/4" (or 8 centimeters by 4.5 centimeters, depending on your preferred unit), it's a little smaller than the run-of-the-mill business card of today, but it would be fabulous for creating the right impression with custom cards, or for use as an astonishingly elegant way to keep your cash.
It's monogramed TED in a beautiful engraver's hand, but I don't think that limits potential buyers to those lucky enough to be named Theodore, Edward, or Theodosius: I've always preferred to think of it as an acronym. Does it stand for The Educated Dealer? The Elusive & Debonair? The Enchanting Dandy? The Effervescent Dragon-slayer? The Essential Dude? The Elegant Doctor? You decide.
Weighing in at a significant 43 grams, this case was constructed with sensuous lines to curve invisibly into a tight vest or neatly cut waistcoat. It adapts perfectly to jeans or black tie today - a great gift for your special gentleman friend, or, for that matter, yourself.

GIA-certed, 1.43 tcw, H in color, SI2 in clarity - eyeclean! - H&A, and measuring a respective 1.6 and 1.7 on the Holloway Cut Advisor (HCA), these studs are pretty much perfect. An additional cool feature is that they're matched for strong blue fluorescence (which is nifty if you go out clubbing, AND serves to make them face up whiter ... exhibiting absolutely no haziness or oiliness). They're set in 14K white gold bezels with very fine milgraining.
The stones measure approximately 5.7mm each naked, but are effectively 6.5mm each with the visual boost provided by the bezels. Awesome staple, equally perfect for special occasions or everyday wear. They come with their original GIA certificates. I'm asking $3800.

Gorgeous vintage ruby eternity band of carre or square emerald cuts, set in unplated 14k white gold. The band contains 30 high-crowned stones of red verging on deep pink, measuring approximately 2.25mm square and 1.6mm deep: measured mounted, it comes in at 2.10 carats (which, compared to my two and a half carat carre band, seems just about right). I bought this hoping it would be a good color match for my french cut ruby band, but, alas, it's just a tad too pink. But it would be perfect for someone looking for a stand-alone band, or, for that matter, for a match for a hot-pink center-stone or corresponding band! Insured shipping included, size 6, not sizable.

Any October babies in the room? This pretty opal pendant has a lovely shifting pattern of blues and green. It's prong-set in a 14k gold setting with a twisted rope pattern at its base. It's approximately half a carat, measuring 6mm by 8mm. The chain is not included but can be sold separately (for an additional $80): otherwise I'll ship it with a black silk cord for immediate enjoyment. Shipping and insurance included, as always, don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Petite 14k YG locket with a starburst diamond decoration, measuring 11m by 14mm and hallmarked "ESEM CO," the hallmark of a jewelry company operating between the years 1906 and 1988. I've had this since I was a little girl and just don't wear it anymore ... but it would be great for somebody else's daughter, or, for that matter, as an elegant everyday necklace. It's pictured on a 16" chain in the last picture, not included (though it can be added in for an additional $80). Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

These work beautifully together or apart: I've been wearing them as flanking bands, but they look smashing on their own, with a solitaire, in a stack, you name it. I tend to like them as flanking bands for a thicker ring for the simple reason that, generally, the quarter-size difference can provide a lot of comfort for those of us with digits under a meter. :)
Platinum, and approximately a carat each, though the smaller one has fewer but slightly bigger stones and the larger more though more petite stones (the 6.25 has 24 stones, the 6.5 has 27 ... but both measure exactly 2.05mm, according to my trusty Leveredge gauge). The diamonds are very white, I'd say F-G on the conservative side, and possess VS clarity. Asking $3000 for both, or $1600 for each individually. Usually one of these will go for more than 3k ... for some reason horizontally set baguettes are hard to find.

This rich yellow gold chain is a great complement to just about any pendant: at 16" it's long enough for you to be able to admire your lovely jewelry and long enough to be elongating and flattering in the extreme. It measures a little under 1.3mm in width, and is hallmarked 14k. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

This pretty Art Deco eternity ring is tremendously elegant on its own, or a great addition to a stacking set. Measuring exactly 2.1mm in width with a 1.7mm rise off the finger, and numbering almost 100 years since its creation, it certainly does a good job of demonstrating the timeless chic of classic black. Decorated with a tremendously Deco pattern on both top and bottom, it's pleasing from every angle, and though it's not hallmarked, it tests as sterling. Please don't hesitate to ask if I can provide any additional information.

Really unusual 18k white gold band from the Art Deco period set with approximately a carat of long, thin baguette-cut rubies. Periodically I stumble across horizontally set baguette diamonds, but this is the only band with horizontally set baguette rubies I've ever come by. Great custom azures in back - very clearly a handmade piece.
It's 1.9mm thick, with a 1.7mm rise off the finger, and really great for stacking ... but since the poor thing is being neglected at my place, it seems better to find it a happy home. Size 6, not sizeable. Only the ruby baguette band is for sale in this listing. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if I can answer any questions or provide additional photographs!

This watch is too cool to just sit in a drawer, but I haven't worn it in years. Purchased in 2009, it's in perfect condition (might need a new watch battery soon). It's made to mimic a dress watch from the 1920s or thereabouts, and it never failed to get compliments. Fossil doesn't have anything half as nifty on their site right now, and I don't see to many other Deco-inspired timepieces that can resist the urge to go anachronistic ... so why not indulge?
Shipping & insurance are included, and please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

I've owned this locket for 5 years or so without managing to properly research it ... perhaps you can do better!
It's a Victorian locket dating to between the 1860s to the 1890s/ It is enameled a beautiful, robin's egg turquoise blue, and decorated with delicate arabesques of gold and two natural freshwater pearls. It is unmarked, but it was sold to me as being 10k, and tests as such ... that said, I'm pricing it like sterling, because when it comes to unmarked Victorian jewelry, I say better safe than sorry.
The locket is in great antique condition. It closes securely, it has its original plates, the enamel has small scuffs (as one might expect after ~150 years), and though there's a slight discoloration by the hinge, it's not noticeable without close inspection. It's a great size at an inch and a quarter tall and an inch wide - lots of presence!
The interesting thing - to me, anyway! - is that instead of containing the expected lover's photo or child's picture, it has two nicely drawn cartoon characters within, bearing the initialed signature "FH." Know any famous cartoonists with a taste for Victorian lover's tokens?
If you have any questions, or would like additional photographs, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Great for Mother's Day!

I lost one of my BGD .50ctw studs. :(
They were a baby-bling present, which makes me sad, and I'd love to be able to reunite my remaining stud with a surrogate. Anybody out there who's experienced a similar loss who'd either like to sell me theirs, or, otherwise, buy mine? Earring is 5mm in its bezel.

These charming cultured saltwater pearls hang from small 14k gold heart to hang a little below the earlobe - great for everyday or an evening out. Nice luster, pretty creamy-pink hue. The hearts are very discreet on the ear, about 6mm by 6mm. Great for Mother's Day! Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Currently a size 8, this beautiful platinum band from the Edwardian or Art Deco period contains approximately three quarters of a carat of colorless, VS-quality diamonds. Each stone measures as weighing .015 points, and there are exactly 50 stones ... calculator says .75 precisely! It's a skinny band at 1.7mm, but for something that's probably around 100 years old, it shows little wear, and can be enjoyed without babying. The condition is basically mint: no visible dipping of the channels, just the slight patina characteristic of platinum on its sides (which could be easily polished away).
This band features a small sizing band of approximately 5mm: on the basis of work I've had done on either pieces, I'd guesstimate that a talented jeweler with a laser could bring it down by half a to three quarters of a size if needed (though better if it's not needed!), and, of course, there's always the possibility of sizing pads.
$1700 is the asking price, and please, ask me absolutely anything your heart desires if you're interested! I had this shipped out from a dealer I used to know in California and dithered about it until the return period had passed, but, alas, I probably *don't* need flanking french cut thumb rings (which, yes, does mean that it has a slightly larger friend in a size 9, same width, no sizing band, to be listed momentarily on its own page)). Asking what I paid, hoping for a quick sale! These are mostly macro shots to show that perfect delicate faceting, planning to post some artier perspective shots tomorrow ....

This beautiful gold bracelet dates to the 1960s. Measuring 9" long and almost half an inch wide, and weighing a full 30 grams, this is a significant piece! It's intricately wrought in a traditional pattern, and suitable for women or for men, to be worn with charms or in solitary glory ... whatever your heart desires. Hallmarked 14K on the clasp, the bracelet opens easily, though a safety chain could be added if you desire. Significantly reducing the original price for a quick sale ... don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions!

Ever wanted to feel like a Kardashian? Well, now's your chance. This size 8 sterling silver eternity ring contains 13 6mm stones for a tcw of around 11 carats. Great if you've won the lottery (or are saving up) and want to test-drive a REALLY BIG eternity ....

Elegant, sleek, and built like a tank: that's what I look for in an eternity band!
This heavy 18k band is channel-set with 35 square step-cut diamonds of approximately .06 points each for a total of 2.1 carats. The quality of the diamonds is excellent - they've been appraised as being F-G in color and VS in clarity - and the workmanship is very good, with clean, narrow channels. I wore this as a flanking band for a while, but since I let its "big sister" go a while back, I find I'm just not wearing this one as much by itself. Why let it languish in the box when someone else could be cherishing it?
Measuring in at 2.75mm, this band looks fantastic on its own, stacked with others, or worn with a solitaire (it's pictured with a 2.5 carat solitaire for perspective: the solitaire is not included in this listing). The timeless streamlined design permits you to wear it almost anywhere.
The diamonds are carre cut: although they're sometimes called asschers, technically speaking that only applies to the square step cut with the clipped corners ... in an eternity band, personally speaking, I tend to prefer the unbroken line. A ring with more or less the exact same specs will probably retail for around 5.5K: I'm asking a third of that at $1700. It's a size 6 and probably not sizable (though never say never: sizing pads can bring a ring down by half a size, and a good jeweler can sometimes file a band out by a quarter to a half size to bring it up). Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can answer any questions or provide any additional pictures from different angles.

I'm selling my little fireball to get the funds to upgrade for the next anniversary ... figured I ought to get a headstart! It's a transitional cut with a high crown, very fiery, certed by EGL NY as a J/K VS1. It faces up very white for me, a little bit of a creamy tint from the side, very subtle. It has faint blue fluorescence, which might be part of why it faces up so white!
The fishtail setting, deco-inspired but custom-made by my incredibly talented custom jeweler, measures almost 9mm square, giving the illusion of a 3 carat square cushion. With sidestones totalling approximately another .20 of marquise & rounds, it's beautiful on its own or stacked with a variety of bands. It will come with the cert, and, if the buyer desires, I can include David Wolfe's very thorough appraisal.

Platinum, set with 27 baguette-cut diamonds weighing approximately a full carat, this classic art deco eternity band measures 2.1mm in width with a rise of 1.9mm off the finger. It's great by itself, as a low-set wedding band to complement your engagement ring, or as a stacker. The diamonds are F-G in color and VS1 in clarity. It's a size 6.5, and could probably be sized within reason by a talented jeweler with a laser.

I called this my "Fifty Shades of Blue" arrangment. Each ring is sold separately, and will be getting an individual listing once I find time ... but should anybody want the lot to recreate the look, I'm perfectly happy to offer the option!
Featured here we have, from bottom to top in the first photograph (and arranged variously in later shots):
- one platinum eternity band set with an unusually hued set of piercing pale blue french cut sapphires, size 5 1/8 verging on 5 1/4, great condition, $950
- one 14k eternity band set with bright, royal blue French cut sapphires, wonderful condition, size 5 1/2, $850
- one platinum band set with French cut jet or onyx, gorgeous engraving on the sides, size 6 1/2, $800. In this band, a few stones are a little loose in the channel but the (very well established, specializing in restoration of vintage pieces) jeweler I took it to said it was perfectly safe. There are a few surface abrasions on the stones under the loupe as would be expected for a piece this age featuring softer stones, but on the whole, I'd say it's in great vintage condition ... and though black and white was a perfect fit for the sleek, stark Art Deco aesthetic, not too many jet or onyx bands have survived. Rare!
- one genuine deco platinum setting, beautiful engraving, featuring a natural and untreated 6.32 blue zircon measuring approximately 11mm. Gorgeous engraving on the head, prongs, and shoulders, beautiful angular diamond-shaped struts between the prongs and providing structural support on the shoulders. Size 6.25, easily sized. Great as a diamond alternative if you want size and value refraction - among natural gemstones, zircons are effectively the most fiery stones after diamonds, and equally great in its own right as a right hand ring or in celebration of a December baby (zircon being the birthstone for December). The stone is a chameleon, appearing almost white in some lights, and a lovely, unearthly pale sky blue in others (see last photo). Asking $2700, willing to take offers!
The rings will be listed for a total of $5300: I'm willing to discount significantly if somebody would like them all together. Please e-mail me if you would like to make an offer, or have any questions! Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or would like any additional pictures.*
*This listing features two additional bands which are not included, as they have been sold, but they do help to provide a sense of the lovely deep blue hue. :)

I couldn't resist snapping this lovely little Van Craeynest band up as a hedge against my fingers swelling ... but as I already have one in my current size and am trying to fund an upgrade, this may just qualify as "hoarding." So, here it is being offered up to all y'all for what I paid!
This gorgeous vintage band has been well-loved: its milgrain and columnar finial detailing are still sharp, but the dogwood blossoms are more abstracted than in their younger days. The floral outline is gorgeously distinct still, and at normal eye-distance, all you see is the gorgeous pattern. However, if you would like to have it refreshed, Van Craeynest can re-chase the pattern to make it good-as-new: I believe a number of PriceScope members have had this done with their heirloom pieces. Die-stamped, the ring has a great heft, and it's just the right width for stacking (and, btw, the sapphire french-cut band pictured with it is available for sale in another listing). If you have any questions at all, or would like pictures from additional angles, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Victorian, Gilded Age era, and Art Deco jewelry have a highly collectible subset of jewelry of amazing hand-crafted quality on a par with the best houses of heirloom gems ... and still in reach of the Everywoman jewelry-lover of today: paste travel jewels.
These pieces were most typically crafted as painstaking imitations of pieces from the likes of Cartier, Tiffany, and Van Cleef and Arpels, allowing their wealthy owners to keep the originals safely in the vault while enjoying their beauty. Knoll Pregizer is one of the best known, but many pieces originating in Ida Oberstein and its environs met those same impeccable standards, utilizing a set of labor-intensive techniques that were all too sadly eradicated by Europe's social upheaval during that time.
This piece is a true collector's item, featuring a sinuous twisting sapphire vine that twists seamlessly around the wearer's wrist. It measures between 7 1/2" and 8" in length, and is approximately 2 1/4" wide. This is an amazing statement piece. As always, please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions! This beautiful late Art Deco engagement ring is characteristic of the 1930s, with its rich rose gold shank and its lovely angular geometric platinum head and shoulders. There was a brief Victorian revival during that period, and you can certainly see its influence in this design! The crown like eight prong setting protects the stone from every side, and the delicate circular supports beneath the cathedral shoulders are a hallmark of high quality work of the time.
The stone itself is probably considerably older than the setting: it's a old miner cut with an excellent make, reminiscent of a french cut with its large Maltese cross pattern under the table providing excellent fire. It measures 5.2mm X 4.5mm X 3mm for an estimated weight of approximately 60 points, or just over half a carat. Appraised in its setting, it is colorless, estimated as an F, with a clarity of SI1, with the grade-setting characteristic being a small feather that is hidden beneath a prong and invisible to the naked eye, as you can tell from the extremely close-up macro shots ... a great value! This would make an amazing engagement ring for the lady with elegant, classic flair and a taste for antiques.
Currently a size 7.25, this ring is easily sizable. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like additional pictures, or if I can answer any questions!

Guess whose father doesn't like crocodile? Guess whose mother didn't mention until after the present ordered for Father's Day from overseas had already shipped? CIRCE!
Up for sale is this gorgeous new "old stock" black patent leather crocodile wallet with 18k gold fittings. It has full British hallmarks indicating that it was manufactured in Birmingham at 1996 at the earliest (though there's no way to tell if the endpieces were made prior to the construction of the billfold). For a piece that might be almost 20 years old, this is in spectacular condition: it was never used, still contains the original cardboard fitting sheets, and comes with its original dustbag and box. Ordered from a little shop I love in London ... my loss, your gain!
Dunhill's isn't making genuine croc wallets this season, so I can't link to a direct comparison ... but for a similar standard of prestige/reputation, here's one by Smythson (without the gold fittings) selling for over 4k: http://www.smythson.com/us/black-wilde-slim-travel-wallet.html

These studs are were sold to me as F-color, though to be on the conservative side I'll say they might be a G. They are VVS2 in clarity. One weighs .26 carats and the other .27 carats to combine for .53tcw.
They're fantastic earrings for daytime or evening - those big chunky facets were designed to catch fire in even the most dimly candle-lit room, and they're disco-balls in the sun. They measure 3.65mm square, and are set in simple tapered 4-prong basket settings ... a pleasant side-view, but also a comfortable, close-to-the-ear fit.
These could easily be adapted to sport dangles, but they're a fabulous bit of luxury for every day just as they are. Settings are hypoallergenic palladium with pushbacks, and, as always, if you have any questions or would like to see additional pictures, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Measuring 2mm wide, this beautiful die-stamped antique band is perfect as a stacker or as a stand-alone band. It's in mint condition and comes with its original packaging. Every petal is still in sharp relief, the milgrain is perfect, and the durability is incontestable ... they just don't make them like these any more! Gorgeous ring, it just doesn't fit my bloated little fingers these days. :( My loss, your gain!

My quest to match my beloved french cut ruby band continues! This one, alas, is a little too much of a good thing, being slightly thicker than I expected. Containing approximately two carats worth of natural rubies and measuring 3.1mm wide with a 2.2mm rise off the finger, the ring is a comfortable size 7 (with a small sizing band, should the need arise). It's engraved with a beautiful wheat pattern on the sides. Great for stacking, great for July babies as a birthstone ring/baby ring, great on its own. The color is a nice red with a pink modifier - please don't hesitate to ask if you'd like more pictures, different angles, etc. This listing is for the ruby band only: the other bands are shown for comparison/as models for stacking only. Sapphire band to be listed separately.

Horizontal baguette eternity band, platinum, size 4.5, engraved "Our Daughter, Our Life, Our World."
Dating to the art deco period, this beautiful platinum and diamond baguette eternity band is in wonderful condition. It measures 3mm in width, with a 2.1mm rise off the finger, and contains 15 emerald cut diamonds with a tcw of 1.10 carats. The diamonds are estimated as H-I, VS2-SI1 (I cannot spot any inclusions, so I'd put it as closer to VS2, myself). It's hard to photograph properly, but it has a lovely inscription reading "Our Daughter, Our Life, Our World" in a beautiful font - a little worn with age, but a beautiful sentiment for (an?) eternity. (Sorry, couldn't resist the pun.)
This was too special to pass up, but it doesn't fit and can't be resized. But I figure somebody out there who has a special relationship with their daughter (or, for that matter, a lady with a special relationship with her parents!) will probably love it. This natural ruby four stone band features approximately a full carat of deep red rubies, separated by six delicate seed pearls. It's done in a classic Victorian style: this was a very popular look after WWII ended, a reassuring reminder of happier times & an assurance that they would come again. The two center rubies measure 4mm each for an estimated weight of .35 each, and the two on the ends measure 3mm each for an estimated weight of .15 each, for a tcw of a carat. Whether you're celebrating your 4th, 6th, 10 anniversary, your July-born baby's 4th birthday, or something of a more personal significance, this would make a lovely memento to remember it in years to come! The ring is hallmarked 18k with the maker's mark "G.H.S." and the three crowns of Sweden. The ring is pictured alongside an amethyst in some pictures: this listing is for the ruby ring alone, but please see my other listings for the other ring shown, if you're interested!

I just bought this lovely band from NielSeel on Pricescope: I love it, but I got it to replace an anniversary band that no longer fits ... and I just don't have the heart. Better to put the money towards resizing the sentimental one! Here's a link to her original listing: if you have any additional questions, just say the word.

Great vintage ring that hasn't been getting enough rotation ... figure it's time for it to go forth to spread the joy!
Dating to 1947 according to the hallmark, this ring was manufactured in Sweden in a classic Deco/Retro style (rose gold became very popular during WWII, when platinum in Europe was mostly commandeered for military purposes). It features a large blue spinel measuring 13mm x 10.5mm x 6.5mm, estimated in the setting for a weight of 8.81 carats. It's a great conversation piece, heavy on the gold in a warm & rosy hue, designed with these lovely swooping curlicues & stylized arabesques. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or would like additional pictures!

I love this ring so much, but Momma's got bills to pay!
Featuring three old cut cushions in the cape color range, this pretty three-stone has a lot of character. The stones are very clean, great clarity, and weigh in at .51, .52, and .53. They measure approximately 4.5mm x 5mm each (adjusted for wonk), and are a really great match for old cuts. They face up a lovely light yellow that I'd estimate in the U-V range, but probably just shy of a fancy designation, no brown or grey modifiers. I've been tempted to change or plate the setting and see how they work in yellow gold (I suspect it would tip the stones face-up appearance to straight-up *yellow* yellow), but at this point I'll leave that decision to the potential buyer! Vintage setting dating to the 30s in great condition, currently a size 8.25, easily sizable.

I missed having a baguette band so I got one for my new cushion, and ... they clash. Boo! My loss, your colorless eternity gain.
Platinum band set with 18 baguettes, 2mm x 3.7mm x 1.5mm, or .11 each for an estimated weight of 1.98, or 2 carats total weight. It measures 2.8mm wide with a 1.7mm rise off the finger. Currently a generous size 7 (just a little over, possibly closer to a 7.25, but as one of the baguettes protrudes slightly beyond its azure, I'm not testing it by pushing it down on my steel mandrel). The diamonds are F-G in color, and VS1 in clarity. The closest comp on the market currently is probably on Facets, where they go for over 4K. It's great by itself, as a low-set wedding band to complement your engagement ring, or as a stacker. As always, don't hesitate to get in touch if I can provide any additional information. This listing also features a solitaire which is available in its own, separate listing - check my other listings or my shop on Etsy if you're interested! https://www.etsy.com/shop/OtherwiseEngaged

You know your hands are swollen when your thumb rings don't fit ... and since I anticipate there being a conflict for the near future, time for these babies to find a better home!
This listing features a french cut emerald band from the 1920s, set in 18k white gold. The ring measures 2.2mm wide with a 1.8mm rise off the finger, and is just shy of being a size 9. I would not recommend sizing it.
The ring is likely almost 100 years old, and as such, shows some wear: the setting is in excellent condition, but there are abrasions on the emeralds, as might be expected. It never bothered me because it's so uniform: you get a great vivid green pop of color, and the triangular crown facets still give you that great french-cut flash, but there is wear to the table facets. No large chips, no broken stones - I'd say it's in very good vintage shape, but the wear has been factored into the price. A good custom lapidary might be able to gently polish the tops to give you a demi-cab gleam, but I wouldn't say it's necessary. In the second-to-last shot, it's featured on my middle finger, flanked by two step cut sapphire bands: they are not included in this listing, but they are available separately.

Pretty bright blue sapphire eternity band, featuring square or step cut sapphires set in 18k white gold (not hallmarked, but tested). There are 31 stones, each measuring 2m square for an estimated carat weight of .08 each, or a total carat weight of 2.48. Great vintage condition. The ring is a size 7: it could conceivably be brought down to a size 6.5 with sizing beads, or up to a 7.25 with judicious filing, but I wouldn't recommend going beyond that. It's featured with two other bands in the last shots, available in separate listings.

Pretty blue sapphire eternity band, set in 18k white gold, size 9. The ring features 40 stones measuring 1.7mm each for an individual weight of .05, or a total carat weight of two carats. I wouldn't recommend sizing the ring significantly: it could be brought down by half a size or so with sizing beads, or filed out by perhaps a quarter of a size by a skilled jeweler. The setting isn't hallmarked, but tests as 18k white gold. The ring is featured alongside two other bands in the last two photos: they're available in separate listings, and if you have any questions or want additional pictures, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

This gorgeous die-stamped Edwardian filigree engagement ring is in mint condition. Featuring a very white old European cut diamond of approximately a quarter of a carat, it's elegant and eye-catching at the same time. The diamond is F-G in color, VS1 in clarity. The ring is 18k, and a size 6.5 (though it can be sized easily) . Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions, or would like pictures from additional angles.

If you don't hear back from me within 24 hours, please ping me at circehellene@gmail.com! Bought this to make myself a pendant and then stumbled across another piece I just *had* to have, so up goes the listing. :)
Gorgeous chunky snowflake of an old European cut diamond, set in a beautiful 14k white gold floral filigree setting from the late Edwardian or early Art Deco period, decorated with a tulip motif. The setting is die-stamped, in good vintage condition with lovely engravings, with four tab prongs set north, south, east, west. The head is slightly outset at the base, giving the ring the positive effect of an illusion setting without the weightiness, and presents a face-up size of a full carat.
The OEC diamond is an I-J in color, with VS1 clarity, and has an average girdle diameter of 5.9mm with a depth of 4mm for an estimated weight of .87 (graded in setting). The make of this stone is particularly favorable, with big, beautiful facets with excellent symmetry: it gives great light return with excellent fire in every lighting condition I've come across. Beautiful for an engagement ring or, for that matter, just about any other kind of ring one can imagine! Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions, or would like to see pictures from additional angles.
This ring is pictured between two other engagement rings in the second-to-last picture: they are available in separate listings.

I adore married pieces. This ring probably began its life during the Georgian era: the ~one carat stone is cupped in a period-appropriate fashion and could have begun its life as anything from ring to pendant to earring to cuff link to button (yes, button! the Georgian era was a decorative era). At some point between the Victorian and the early Art Deco period, most likely during the Edwardian period, some enterprising jeweler gave it new life by burnishing it into an intricate die-stamped setting of 18k white gold, trellised with flowers.
The setting is in superb shape: many rings from this period will demonstrate some degree of wear, but it's clear that this pieces was cherished and protected ... it looks like it could have traveled across the 100+ years since its creation in a single leap. The stone is slightly elongated, measuring 7mm by 7.5mm: there is a small chip or cavity along one edge that takes the clarity to SI1 clarity, but a buyer could have that polished out or covered with a small lip of metal without difficulty: excluding the chip, the stone is lovely and clean. The color is hard to judge, as the cup has oxidized slightly, but this gives the stone a wonderful, glowing depth, reflecting colors running the gamut from violet to bronze: gauging from the side view alone, I would estimate the color as G-H. A very unusual piece, appropriate for anything from an engagement ring on out! It is currently sized at an 8, but could easily be sized up or down.

This ring holds a grey zircon with a lovely and unusual gray hue, not unlike a fancy-colored diamond ... just happily at a fraction of the cost. It is primarily a beautiful pure grey to the eye, though it can turn a darker gray in direct sunlight, or show a green modifier in diffuse sunlight. Zircon is one of the birthstones for December - great for those December babies. The zircon measures 9.4mm x 6.55mm for an estimated weight of 4.82 carats. It has a wonderful old european cut, with a very high crown and a small table: wonderful in candle-light, daylight, or artificial light. :)
The ring itself is an Art Deco piece dating to the 1930s. It has an illusion-head in the fishtail style, making the stone face up beautifully, and is bookended on its sides with bezeled marquise and round diamonds of G, SI1, totalling .28tcw (each marquise is .10 and each round if .04). This listing is for the solitaire only: any additional rings visible in the pictures are not included. The ring is currently a size 5.5 and could easily be sized up or down.

I bought this a while back and as much as I want it to ... it just doesn't match any of my other rings. Maybe it'll put a smile on somebody else's face for the holidays!
Made up of 11 4mm old european cut moissanites, hand-selected by the crew at Schubach's, this band looks equivalent to a band made up of quarter carat diamonds... 11 of them, semi-bezeled and delicately milgrained, with a tcw equivalent to 2.75 carats.
The ring was made in 14k unplated WG, a nice match to the stones in hue, and is currently a size 7. It has a sizing band at the back (equivalent to roughly 1/3 of the band's circumference), and could easily be brought down or up, as desired. The OEC moissanites were carefully picked: no funky undertones, just warmth, fire, and chunky facets for days. As always, please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!
*Photo on the pink background belongs to the original owner ... my camera ran out of juice before I could get a good shot of it top-down!
** The solitaire shown in the fourth pic is also an OEC moissanite,8.5mm in a gorgeous diestruck vintage platinum setting, available in a separate listing.

Ah, the holiday season - that glorious time of year when I want to buy ALL OF THE THINGS and therefore have to sell ... well, at least SOME of the things. Blush
I'm listing my 8.5mm OEC moissanite. It's the prettiest one I've ever seen, but since I got my warm OMC, it's just not getting any play.
The OEC is warm, but no green: it generally faces up a pretty vanilla, sometimes dipping lower to reflect the surroundings. It's set in an antique platinum die-stamped setting that I had customized ... I picked a decorative setting with no sidestones to reduce the apparent body color, and I have to say, it really does face up beautifully in this setting. It has an amazing pierced gallery of Gothic looking arches, and beautiful stylized hearts hand-engraved on the shoulders. It's a really gorgeous piece, and it ought to go to somebody who'll love it right!
Asking $1750 - ping me if you have any questions or would like additional pics! Size 7, easily sizeable.

Pretty as a picture means it must deserve a frame ... this Old European Cut diamond & sapphire engagement ring delivers. :)
The pierced platinum filigree target setting holds a .40 point diamond of G color & VS1 clarity, with excellent symmetry & cut. It is surrounded by a halo of 8 french-cut baguette calibre sapphires weighing in at .35tcw, with an additional .10 points of single-cut diamonds on the shoulders. The face of the ring measures 8.8mm square, and the shank tapers to a comfortable 1.7mm at the back. It is lovingly engraved and milgrained, and in very good vintage condition: there is some natural wear, as can be seen in the pictures, but this is a ring that's lasted 100 years and looks ready to go another 100. Currently a size 6.25, but easily rezsizable, this Art Deco beauty would make a wonderful engagement ring, RHR, celebration ring ... you name it! As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

$1,250 | ||
This is one of the most beautiful Edwardian or Art Deco settings I've had the pleasure of wearing: it's in absolutely mint condition, with perfect milgrain, piercing, wheat engraving, prongs ... the works! The design is really wonderful: although it holds a 6mm stone, it faces up as *much* larger, first because of the fishtail prongs, next because of the well-cut 7mm square box setting, and finally because of the delicately rounded gallery. On the hand, it has the visual effect of a diamond weighing a carat and a half. Currently a size 7, this ring could easily be sized up or down.
It is set with an Old European cut moissanite of 6mm, equivalent to a diamond weighing .75tcw: in color, it is similar to a J-colored diamond, in clarity, equivalent to a VS1. Moissanite is its own stone, but as a fairly fresh entrant to the market, it's easiest to describe it in the terms of the stone it most closely resembles. The one big difference? The FIRE - OEC moissanites have tremendous fire, giving them a very appealing appearance.
This would make an amazing engagement ring ... or anniversary ring ... or for that matter, any kind of ring at all! As always, please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions, or if you would like to see any additional images.
