If you don't hear back from me within 24 hours, please ping me at circehellene@gmail.com! Bought this to make myself a pendant and then stumbled across another piece I just *had* to have, so up goes the listing. :)
Gorgeous chunky snowflake of an old European cut diamond, set in a beautiful 14k white gold floral filigree setting from the late Edwardian or early Art Deco period, decorated with a tulip motif. The setting is die-stamped, in good vintage condition with lovely engravings, with four tab prongs set north, south, east, west. The head is slightly outset at the base, giving the ring the positive effect of an illusion setting without the weightiness, and presents a face-up size of a full carat.
The OEC diamond is an I-J in color, with VS1 clarity, and has an average girdle diameter of 5.9mm with a depth of 4mm for an estimated weight of .87 (graded in setting). The make of this stone is particularly favorable, with big, beautiful facets with excellent symmetry: it gives great light return with excellent fire in every lighting condition I've come across. Beautiful for an engagement ring or, for that matter, just about any other kind of ring one can imagine! Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions, or would like to see pictures from additional angles.
This ring is pictured between two other engagement rings in the second-to-last picture: they are available in separate listings.
