Platinum solitaire ring from 1946, featuring an approximately 2.50 ct transitional cut diamond (K color, SI clarity), it has a clear checkerboard pattern. The diamond measures approx 8.7 mm in diameter but has not been weighed loose. It is set with 8 prongs.
The band is about 1.5–2 mm wide and features small old mine cut diamonds with fine milgrain detailing along the edges.
The center diamond has fluorescence. I have worn the ring for approximately two years and have not noticed the fluorescence having any negative impact on the diamond’s appearance under any lighting conditions.
The diamond/ring was sold to me as K color, SI clarity by a reputable auction house in Sweden, where it was examined by two gemologists.
The diamond is uncertified.

FROM THE ORIGINAL LT LISTING:
“Custom CvB Sierra ring in 18k yellow gold, size 5.0 (currently with sizing beads that take it down to a 3.5 on the mandrel).
Features a 3.60ct unheated cornflower blue cushion sapphire and GIA certified natural (genuine antique) old mine cut diamonds (.54 and .52 each G/VS2) purchased from August Vintage. Such a breathtaking statement piece! Sapphire ring was appraised at $29,500 in 2021. This ring has incredible finger coverage and absolutely glows!”
Photos are also from the original listing. Please see my other listing for the loose stone to see what it looks like in Bangkok. There is a thing about Sapphires, where they appear lighter as you move towards the equator and darker as you move towards more distant latitudes. As a result, many people buy Sapphires in Bangkok only to find that they are too dark when they get home. I suspect something like this is happening with this sapphire as the original listing photos and CVB’s photos show a deeper color than the ones that I took.
Please note that the ring is in a brushed finish and the original CVB photo on Instagram was taken before that finish was applied.
Ships worldwide via FedEx.
The stone currently has a lotus gold certificate. I encourage you to look at my other listing for the loose stone for more details.

The ring is a 14k white gold diamond cluster ring.
There are nine natural yellow diamonds set in the middle of the ring, surrounding these yellow diamonds are eighteen white diamonds in a halo pattern.
There are eight diamonds on each side of the shank going halfway down the shank.
The white diamonds have a "G" color grading and a "SI2" clarity grading.
There are a total of forty three diamonds. The total carat weight of all the diamonds is .50 carats. The ring weighs 3.5 grams and is a finger size 6. Ring box provided.
This ring was made custom by Alan Cohen of Cohen Diamond, located in Midtown Manhattan, New York. Exceptional Quality and Craftsmanship.
This ring was kept in a safe. Never worn. I bought this ring for my fiancée who is no longer with us. Never got the chance to put it on her finger. I no longer have the receipt for this ring as it was lost during a move with a ton of other paperwork I had.
