Russia during the rule of Romanov dynasty produced some of the most striking and beautiful fine jewelry in the world, and this ring is no exception. This ring was made during the reign of Czar Nicholas II around 1910. The center stone is a peridot that measures 11mm x 8mm x 4.5mm. The peridot is surrounded by rose cut diamonds; the diamonds have high clarity and a nice sparkle. The stones are set in silver. The silver has been tarnished to a gunmetal grey over time. The band is solid 14k rose gold . There are multiple hallmarks, both Russian and French, including the maker, the Russian gold purity (56 Zolotnik) a shell hallmark and a swan hallmark (French Used 14k Gold & Silver Marks). Unbelievable one of a kind custom platinum setting made by Doron Isaak. Center stone is a precision cut ~9mm - 3.11ct Tanzanite. I purchased the setting from the original owner (PSers will recognize the setting) but unfortunately, I only got to wear it a few times before my knuckles made it impossible to wear. It currently has sizing balls and fits like a size 5.5. If the balls are removed, it will be approximately 6 - 6.5. 6.19 ct. (10.32 x 9.10 x 4.21) with G/H SI .54 diamonds bubble gum pink "star" sapphire. The stone is semi-translucent, but is heavily included which means you don't always get an actual star when it's in the light. I would consider it an included semi-translucent bubble gum pink cabochon sapphire that occasionally produces a star. I purchased this ring last year from Jocelyn at Gilded Lane for $780. It was described to me as an antique portrait cut aquamarine approximately (10 x 15MM) 2.75 carats set in a 14K white gold setting with 8 single cut diamond melee on the sides. It was a size 4 when I bought it and sized up to an 8. ($150 cost). Therefore, there are no markings on the inside of the band but it’s 14K. Because of the portrait cut, it has the presence of 7-8 carat stone. I was drawn to this beautiful antique ring because of the uniquely cut stone and the subtle flashes of pastel blue when wearing. Gorgeous medium blue precision-cut lab sapphire in a Tiffany style solitaire!. The sapphire was precision-cut in the U.S. and set by lapidary and bench jeweler Phil Lagas-Rivera (AlternativesLapidary). The lab sapphire is flawless and cut in an elongated antique cushion design. It weighs 2.67 carats and has the dimensions 8.3 x 6.8 x 5.4mm. A nice size for a solitaire that packs a punch! The rough sapphire was made by Djeva in Switzerland and this color does not go dark. The ring is made of solid Palladium and is stamped "950Pd" on the inside. Palladium is a platinum group metal and will stay white without plating. It looks just like Platinum but feels lighter. The setting style is an integrated peg head solitaire to keep it lower and more comfortable on the finger, so this ring will not sit flush with a straight band (there will be a small gap). The prongs are split eagle-claws and are impeccably sleek and smooth. I am the original owner of this ring, it is gorgeous and in excellent condition, and it has never been resized.
