This is an 18K rose gold engagement ring, from the world-renowned jeweler in Paris, France. It is a tiara-styled ring and is part of the Joséphine collection, named after the wife of Napoleon Bonaparte, as this was his preferred jeweler. The Chaumet Joséphine Tiara ring in rose gold features a double band of pavé diamonds, a single princess-cut diamond and - the jewel in the crown - a pear-cut rubellite.

Very beautiful, authentic, antique ring setting. The ring setting has lovely scrolling engravings around the basket and down the shank. It is hallmarked 750 for 18k white gold. Beautiful quality and condition, some average signs of wear. The prongs are a little bent in some areas, will most likely need some retipping.. The ring size is a snug 5.5, maybe a bit smaller. The weight is about 2.85 grams. It should hold a round stone in the 9-10mm range. I think a rose cut or shallow cut stone would work beautifully as the setting sits very low to the hand. For Sale! $1500 1770 to 1780 Georgian natural, unheated ruby ring with silver top and rose cut diamonds. I bought this from my friend @ladycessalove who is an expert on Georgian jewelry. I have been it's caretaker for several months and have kept it in amazing condition. The first four pics are mine and the last few are hers. This is what Allison had to say about this beauty: The deeply chased band is my favorite part of this ring and this type of chasing is indicative of the late 18th century, as well as the portrait style bezel. A lot of cameos in the 1770s/80s have this style of bezel.The ruby is 4.6 mm x 6.7 mm. There is minor discoloration at the bottom of the stone from the foiling having slightly deteriorated from age and moisture. That is very common with antique foiled Georgian pieces. I don’t think it detracts, though, from the overall vibrancy of the pinkish ruby.
