You know your hands are swollen when your thumb rings don't fit ... and since I anticipate there being a conflict for the near future, time for these babies to find a better home!
This listing features a french cut emerald band from the 1920s, set in 18k white gold. The ring measures 2.2mm wide with a 1.8mm rise off the finger, and is just shy of being a size 9. I would not recommend sizing it.
The ring is likely almost 100 years old, and as such, shows some wear: the setting is in excellent condition, but there are abrasions on the emeralds, as might be expected. It never bothered me because it's so uniform: you get a great vivid green pop of color, and the triangular crown facets still give you that great french-cut flash, but there is wear to the table facets. No large chips, no broken stones - I'd say it's in very good vintage shape, but the wear has been factored into the price. A good custom lapidary might be able to gently polish the tops to give you a demi-cab gleam, but I wouldn't say it's necessary. In the second-to-last shot, it's featured on my middle finger, flanked by two step cut sapphire bands: they are not included in this listing, but they are available separately.
