Sri Lankan blue spinel Medium dark blue 8.1 x 6.5mm Oval 2.005 carat Vs2 bubble inclusions (hard to see with just the eye) This stone can display some half and half extinction at times. That hasn't stopped me from loving it, and blue spinels of this size are getting harder and harder to find. And for it to be precision cut too, even harder to find! I had a very hard time coming to the decision to part with this stone, but I have too many larger blue spinels and I can't figure out how to set them all. They are remarkably white, the only color seems to come from their inclusions. Some have some small carbon spots, and their shapes are not uniform. One appears to have lost a larger chunk. Four of the stones are well shaped, being more uniform in shape and roval/oval. I'm trying to be overly honest about all of their flaws, but they are very beautiful stones.
