An unusual cut a pear shaped checkerboard cut green tourmaline. The checkerboard pattern is the same on both sides so there is no culet so to speak. It's a beautiful grass/emerald green and VVS clarity.
The stone looks like a briolette but is patterned on both sides.

I love emerald cut blue and green gemstones! They remind me of the islands I plan to tour someday when my bank account lets me!
This is a very nice 1.57 emerald cut blue zircon. The cut is deep as there is a lot of heft in the back, but the stone is a beautiful sea green blue and the steps make you wish you were at a glittering pool somewhere.

Thank you for checking this one out!

A nice darker red spinel in a cushion oval (cuval) cut weighing 1.67 carats. I would say the color is a merlot color with some extinction but the red is always visible.
Another pretty stone that I never got around to setting. Email me your questions about this or any of my other listings. All sales are final and I accept PayPal to confirmed addresses only.
Thanks!

A interesting .56 untreated white topaz princess cut I picked up from Uli a few years back. It's a standard princess cut and though white does have a silver/gray tint in some lighting.
Email me any questions you may have as this is a final sale. PayPal accepted from confirmed addresses only. (I should have a stamp made of this comment!)
Thanks!

Another cool stone from Uli and of course an oval! A .84 ctw golden brown/orange/yellowish tourmaline that is a sunset color. The color can also have a amber hue to it as well. A very nice stone just in time for fall...whoops!

Up for consideration, a .80 Adamantine pear green demantoid garnet. In person I would say it steers more towards the chartreuse/mint green side of the color scale but in some of the pics it does look grassy green. At 11:50 near the tip of the pear appears to be a white inclusion (possibly a horsetail). It's a beautiful stone!

Very nice 1.23 Orange Spessartite garnet. The clarity is VVS and the color is a very pretty reddish orange. I'm not sure if I would call it Fanta or Sunkist :) but it's a very pretty stone that unfortunately I never got to set.
Ask me any questions you want as this is a final sale. Thank you for looking. I accept payments through PayPal to confirmed addresses only. Thanks!

From cabochons to a Cavachon (coolest fur baby ever!), I'm clearing out a large number of gemstones that have taken up some prime real estate in my safe deposit box.
I have a Tiffany Lamp that has these cabochon pieces on them and had the "dream" of doing a candy style set of stacking rings with candy colored gemstones. This was one of them. It's a gorgeous 1.72 orangy red spinel. For a cab it has good clarity and the color reminds me of a hickory farms strawberry candy. It hasn't been set into jewelry and is a fun stone for a project or just to look at!
Please email me any questions you may have as all sales are final. I accept PayPal only through verified accounts. Thank you again!

One of the coolest cuts (in my opinion) a Uli Zeisberg 2.84 Rhodolite Garnet flower cut stone. I picked this up a few years ago with the intent of setting into a cool metaphysical style pendant but life got in the way and it never came to be. The stone is darker, but the liquid flower pattern that Uli is known for is front and center.
Please email me any questions you have about his stone as this is a final sale. I accept PayPal from confirmed addresses.

A beautiful 1.38 cushion cut Pink Spinel measuring 6.5x6.0x4.6. It's a beautiful rosey pink color and hasn't been set into jewelry. A purchase when I was on a Spinel kick and a "I'm going to do 1000000 projects" kick.

Good afternoon and thank you for taking the time to look at my listing! For consideration is a 1.55 purplish pink oval cut spinel. It's a beautiful purplish pink and has that hazy/sleepy look that so many people love (like me!). I picked this up from Tan a few years ago but it's another project that never came to be. She's never been set in jewelry and is a looking for a new home!
Please email me any questions you may have. I'm patient and will answer them to the best of my knowledge. This is a final sale and I only accept Paypal to confirmed addresses. Thank you for looking!

7.00ct Purple Spinel, eye clean, custom cut by Dan Lynch,18.45x9.16x7.09mm. Untreated from Tanzania.
I purchased this rough as a 4 gram piece in Arusha on my 2014 trip in August with Roger Dery. It was the largest piece of facet grade spinel available at that time.
I see this piece in a stunning Victorian reproduction.

Namanga Garnet custom cut by Ryan Quantz.
Ryan writes:
Namanga garnet from Kenya is just yet another flavor of garnet heavy on rhodolite in the mix. Most are eye-clean to slightly included, are typically not dark like others can be and come in mostly pure reds and orangey reds- Some lean more toward the purple side as well, such as this stone does. The specimen in this listing was a slightly included piece that I used for a new, experimental pentagon cut of my own design. It turned out so well that I added the stone to my inventory, despite the inclusions. It is a bright stone, glowing in certain lighting and in others just very flashy. It's a good size, great color and precision cut- All for a conservative price thanks to the inclusions. Untreated.
2.51ct.

(Ammolite Information)
A true treasure of nature, ammolite is the rarest of all gemstones and exclusively Canadian. Ammolite is an 'opal like', organic gemstone that is formed from fossilized, extinct mollusks called Ammonites. Ammonites were a squid-like marine animal and existed through out the Paleozoic Era until the end of the Crustaceous Era, when they abruptly became extinct. Ammonites were abundant in all of the oceans and their fossils are found all over the world but it is only those extracted from the Eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains in Southern Alberta, Canada that boast the captivating, iridescent colours mirroring the brilliance and flashing dance of the Northern Lights. Only 5% of the ammonite fossils in Alberta exhibit 'Ammolite' colours and of these stones only a small portion are considered to be of gem quality. Every Ammolite is unique, showing it own beautiful and intricate patterns, colour combinations and brilliance like a personal signature.
