Dan Stair recut this from a much larger stone. The result was that he kept much of the size. At an average LxW of 8.5 mm it faces like a 3 ct stone and will be quite the statement piece. The cutting is awesome. The crown is flatter than ideal, but Dan managed to eek plenty of dispersion from the radiant cut. It has a real art deco look to it and would be captivating in an art deco or vintage style ring. The color is also fabulous. I think of it as lemon-lime--sometimes lemon, sometimes lime, and often both. But it also contains something even more magical. In fluorescent, LED light, or even some weird low daylight, it goes full on nuclear neon. This is a great stone for someone who wants to wear it in office or strong daylight. While still nice in cloudy or incandescent light, it really shows off in fluorescent, LED, and strong daylight. I don't have a great picture of it's neon side, but I'll do my best to get one upon request. Photos are all taken in natural daylight.
