This is the finest colored emerald you can possibly buy. You may find bigger, but you won't find one with better color. And if you know emerald, you know they need to be seen in person to be properly appreciated. Photos and videos just don't do them justice. My skills are also particularly terrible. The color in person is phenomenally vivid and a pure muzo green with that coveted metallic blue modifier. It also has a perfect medium tone which only enhances the stone's richness. The color is vivid pinkish red which glows immensely in natural light, especially sunlight. Rubies are known as the king of gems, and it is easy to see why. The most expensive and coveted orgin of rubies is Burma (Myanmar). Additionally, most rubies are treated with standard heat treatment to improve the color. The color of this stone is totally natural; it has not been treated in any kind of way. The fact that this stone is both Burmese and not heat treated, combined with the vivid color, makes this stone very rare.
