The center stone was my grandmother's and when I had it polished, the jeweler, the lapidary, and a person very well acquainted with tsavorite all told me they thought this was a tsav. Eventually I had it appraised and was shocked (SHOCKED!) to find out this was actually a CZ. The appraiser ran the tests again in front of my jeweler and it's definitely not tsavorite. I put Wink's CZs as the side stones and tried wearing the ring for what it was- just a pretty colored stone ring. I find myself never wearing this ring, though. For sale: an 18kt white gold ring with 28 full cut accent diamonds. The basket has 8 full cuts. The shank has 10 full cuts micro pave set on each side. The shank measures 1.8mm wide at the bottom and 2.12mm wide at the top with antique style engraving all around. This ring is a size 3.75-4 and the antique pattern does not go all the way around the ring, so it could be sized. It used to hold a 5.3mm stone and originally when I purchased it from the jeweler, it had a larger CZ set. I am showing pictures of it unset, with the 5.3mm stone set, and with a 6.8mm stone balanced on top. I wore it occasionally so it has little wear. My jeweler has said he thinks the largest stone this could accommodate is a 5.8mm round without reworking the prongs. It could take a 6mm if the prongs were reworked. This is a custom-order E-Wedding Bands 2.5mm heavy comfort platinum band in a size 4.25. It's considered custom because they offer either 2mm or 3mm standard on their website and had to specially make this width for me. Per the appraisal, this setting has 130 full cut accent diamonds. The center stone would be surrounded by 18 micro pave set diamonds with 22 around the edge of the frame. The frame measures 10.14 x 9.67 mm and is supported on 4 prongs, each with 3 diamonds. The shank has 78 diamonds with 10 on the top on each side and 29 front and back. The shank measures 1.91mm wide at the bottom and 2.31mm wide at the top. I found the original receipt which states the setting has 1.92ctw of F/VS2 pave. This held a cushion-shaped sapphire that is 7.3 x 5.7mm with a depth of 3.4mm. I believe it could hold a stone with a slightly larger dimension. The ring is a 3.75-4. I checked with Quest Jewelers, the maker of this ring, and it can be sized up to a 7 for $175. Please note the sapphire pictured here is not included (though if you want to buy it, I'm happy to sell it!) and is not set in the mounting in this picture. The sapphire was removed with the intention of reusing the setting so the prongs should be in good shape. This is a beautiful 4.19 ct amethyst set in a David Klass 18kt rose gold ring. The stone itself was purchased from Jerry Newman at Gemart Services.
