Pretty 1.62 carat royal blue heat only Sri Lanka unusual long thin clipped corner cross between an emerald and a radiant cut. Stone is 7.33 x 4.60 x 4.50mms deep. Half the sapphire is on the lighter side of Royal and is more of a bright open mid blue than the other half due to extinction overall, it faces up a light royal blue in strong lighting and a mid royal blue in low lighting. It never blacks out and is always a pretty blue in most lighting situations. Great stone for someone looking for a Royal coloured stone that is not too dark. Pretty 2.05 carat royal blue unheated untreated cushion cut sapphire. Stone is 7.35 x 5.45 x 4.70. Half the sapphire is on the lighter side of Royal and is more of a bright open mid blue than the other half due to extinction overall, it faces up a bright vivid royal blue. Across the stone it looks brighter than a typical royal blue stone. I purchased this stone with two others and was planing on possibly recutting it but never got around to it. It is Sri Lanka origin and cost me $1650 USD (because it is unheated and untreated and a nice open blue) about 7+ years ago. You could recut it or if you leave it as is even with the extinction it is never too dark and is still a very pretty blue sapphire as far as darker blue sapphires go. It never blacks out and always has nice mid flashes of blue and it would look better again if you do decide to give it a light recut because the base colour it has is a very pleasing nice bright open mid blue. Bargain priced mid pink .96 (close enough to 1 carat) untreated Mahenge spinel. I'd describe it at the lighter end of mid pinks, even though it has photographed a mid pink in some photos. It is not neon, but is still bright and a pretty stone. Faces like a 1+ carat stone. Has some scattered inclusions with a loupe or if you have eagle eyes but eye clean on the hand. Bargain priced untreated Vietnamese Lavender Spinel. is .98 (close enough to 1 carats) super spready so it faces like a much larger stone. It has a window in the centre that you mostly only see outside in strong sunlight, the rest of the time while the window is there it is not as distracting ie the colour of the stone compensates for it. You really do see it outside in the sun having said that. The stone is a really lovely colour it is a lilac/pink with really nice pink, purple, lilac, lots of blue and even red flashes out in strong sunlight.
