17.82 carat Solid Black Australian opal with a light to mid grey base. This one you see the grey base but it is like a modern artwork of amazing slashes of colour that go across the stone. Like all opals the colours change a bit depending upon the lighting source. Very beautiful Aussie opal, out of my own personal collection. Will make an outstanding modern freeform statement ring, or a very nice pendant or could even be set into a bracelet. The stone is brand new (although I have owned it unset for a number of years) with no cracks, chips or issues of any kind, there is a small natural dint in one side of the stone which is how it came to me but that would be covered completely when the stone is set, I for example would put a yellow gold or a white gold metal bezel around it and then set it as either a ring, pendant or in a bracelet. For sale is a 1.43ct round cut blue sapphire from Westview Gems. It measures 6.3mm in diameter. Steve told me it was a recut, and the stone was from Sri Lanka, and most likely heat treated. I purchased this stone several years ago, and meant to set it into a 3 stone setting I had, but set a different stone instead.
