Red/Purple cushion cut spinel, 2.41 carats, dimensions 8x6.4x5.5, expertly cut by Jerry Newman. The color is more reddish indoors and more purple outdoors. In direct sunlight the stone deepens to a dark purple. The stone is a very good size for spinel and has nice sparkle. I think it would look amazing set in white gold. I have included photos that show this spinel at it's best and worst color. The stone is basically eye clean, but in Jerry's highly magnified photo there are some slight inclusions.
