This pretty piece is fit for a fairy princess - I've never seen another one like it. Baby rings are generally simple things, but this is a solidly built, artistic pieces of jewelry that just happens to be a size 1. Considering how many of you ladies have tiny fingers, maybe it will even fit one of you! Judging from the workmanship, this ring likely dates to the early to mid-Victorian period (though it could also be somewhat older, judging by the cut of the diamonds).
The ring features an opal with good color play of 5.5mm long by 4mm wide by 5mm deep (approximately half a carat) surrounded by ~.30 of rose cut diamonds (12 in the halo, and 2 on the shoulders). It set in rich yellow gold. It's not hallmarked, but it tests as higher than 18k.
