Great vintage ring that hasn't been getting enough rotation ... figure it's time for it to go forth to spread the joy!

Dating to 1947 according to the hallmark, this ring was manufactured in Sweden in a classic Deco/Retro style (rose gold became very popular during WWII, when platinum in Europe was mostly commandeered for military purposes). It features a large blue spinel measuring 13mm x 10.5mm x 6.5mm, estimated in the setting for a weight of 8.81 carats. It's a great conversation piece, heavy on the gold in a warm & rosy hue, designed with these lovely swooping curlicues & stylized arabesques.
