This was in a box of jewelry that belonged to my friend's mother. I took the strand to two known pearl vendors at InterGem who pronounced them as very nice classic Japanese cultured saltwater akoyas. I was told that a fair wholesale price would be $400. They have a champagne (ivory?) overtone. The clasp is marked 14K. I measured a few at random and they were approx 6mm.
