Beautiful “exploding dial” Art Deco Elgin watch. Watch is in good working condition. Case is solid 14kt white gold (hallmarked). Dial is unrestored and has blue hands. This beautiful ruby, .97 carat, probably Burmese, has had a hard life, it was a rescue from a setting. It has a significant chip and it may or may not be recuttable to a flaw free gem. I think It could be reset as is and loved despite its chip, it is a spectacular colour and with its inclusions I would attribute it to being unheated and of Burmese origin.
