This beautiful ruby, .97 carat, probably Burmese, has had a hard life, it was a rescue from a setting.
It has a significant chip and it may or may not be recuttable to a flaw free gem.
I think It could be reset as is and loved despite its chip, it is a spectacular colour and with its inclusions I would attribute it to being unheated and of Burmese origin.
