Most are eye-clean to slightly included, are typically not dark like others can be and come in mostly pure reds and orangey reds- Some lean more toward the purple side as well, such as this stone does. The specimen in this listing was a slightly included piece that I used for a new, experimental pentagon cut of my own design. It turned out so well that I added the stone to my inventory, despite the inclusions. It is a bright stone, glowing in certain lighting and in others just very flashy. Just purchased, never set, Jeffrey Davies custom cut Uruguay Amethyst. I purchased this stone for an existing setting, sadly the stone is too small. I have not even taken it from the gem case it arrived in, so absolutely perfect condition. The stone measures 8.33 mm x 8.33 mm. It is 5.45 mm deep. The images are the original vendors.
