Most are eye-clean to slightly included, are typically not dark like others can be and come in mostly pure reds and orangey reds- Some lean more toward the purple side as well, such as this stone does. Just purchased, never set, Jeffrey Davies custom cut Uruguay Amethyst. I purchased this stone for an existing setting, sadly the stone is too small.
