This is for those who love the sleepy stones! It is a very nice purplish red stone that holds even in fluorescent light. The many microscopic "sugar' inclusions give it a distinctive glowy aspect, but the excellent faceting does give the stone brilliance--it is certainly not a "dead" stone. Easy to set in a calibrated 9mm size with expert faceting and polish at a very affordable price!This isn't one of those black Garnets with Red Flashes--it is always red!
