Want finger coverage? Look no further! This ring features a high-quality sterling silver reproduction of a popular style from the Edwardian era. It’s octagonal in shape, which is very flattering to the finger, and generally gives the center-stone an illusory boost in the size department … not that this stone needs it, but, hey, it never hurts! I got it when my ring was in the shop because I wanted to see what a HONKER felt like: answer is, surprisingly wearable, but now that my baby is back in my hands, I'm just not wearing it.
The center stone is cut in the style of an Old European diamond, accurate to the same period as the setting, with a small table and a culet. It is 12mm cubic zirconia, roughly equivalent to a 6 carat diamond, carefully heated to an “H” color, giving it a slightly more realistic hue (though, to be fair, if this ring were in reality what it reproduces, it would cost a million bucks … and I say that after having inquired about a very similar six-carat OEC at Fred Leighton). It measures as a size 6 on my mandrel, but there’s some leeway due to the open undergallery: it fits equally comfortably on my size 7 middle finger as it does on my size 6 ring finger.
This ring can't seem to take a bad picture: it was hard to decide which ones to list! And the effect is the same in real life, if not more so - it's like wearing a disco ball on your hand. Very glamorous! Asking what I paid for the component parts and labor to put 'em together, no more.
