This fantastic pear shaped stone is a natural, unheated, Burmese ruby. It is GIA certified, and weighs 0.93 carats. The color is vivid pinkish red which glows immensely in natural light, especially sunlight.

Rubies are known as the king of gems, and it is easy to see why. The most expensive and coveted orgin of rubies is Burma (Myanmar). Additionally, most rubies are treated with standard heat treatment to improve the color. The color of this stone is totally natural; it has not been treated in any kind of way. The fact that this stone is both Burmese and not heat treated, combined with the vivid color, makes this stone very rare.
