This antique French Art-Deco piece is truly spectacular. Unlike many re-productions, this is a genuine French art-deco Diamond and platinum bracelet from the 1920’s. There are about 7.44 carats of diamonds. Each of the larger stones are Old European cuts (approx. .20 each) and the smaller stones are single-cuts (huit/huit). The color of all the stones are very high, about F-G. The average clarity of the stones range between VS2-SI2. The material of the bracelet is 67 grams of solid platinum. There are multiple hallmarks on the clasp, most have worn away due to age. The French eagle hallmark is one of few hallmarks that remains legible. The narrowest parts of the bracelet is 0.6 inches and the widest point is 1.3 inches. The bracelet can fit up to a 6.5 inch wrist. Despite how adorable this piece is, it definitely is a statement piece. It is brand new from presitigue jeweler, Lugano Diamonds known locally here in Socal. There are two oval/rectangular rose cut diamonds, one has slightly more body color than the other. The estimated total diamond carat weight is 0.64cts. Importantly, it is type iia, which means the stone is free of impurities, making it very rare and even more collectible. Currently it is LFG certified, but I can have it GIA certified upon request. It is set in its OG platinum setting made by French jeweler Joseph Chaumet, one of the most prestigious jewelers in the world at the time. The setting is signed and hallmarked. Because of the increase of costs in rubies, red spinel has become more sought after. Red spinel from Burma, such as this stone is the most sought after and comes with an additional premium. The color can best be described as ‘crimson’ red; it has a deep saturation. It is an eye clean stone which is rare for a stone of this size. The size is large at just over 4.52cts. This ring is a classic 5 stone diamond band from the late Victorian period. The ring was made around 1880, likely in France. There are 5 old mine cut diamonds that add up to about 1.2cts. The diamonds are bright and lively; some have abrasions and wear consistant with genunine antique diamonds. The diamonds are set in an open bottom collet-style silver settings which allows for light to travel through the stones. The shank is solid 18k gold. There are no hallmarks, but the gold has been tested. The gold shank has many hand carved details, which is typical for the period and adds some pizzaz to the piece.
