This antique French Art-Deco piece is truly spectacular. Unlike many re-productions, this is a genuine French art-deco Diamond and platinum bracelet from the 1920’s. There are about 7.44 carats of diamonds. Each of the larger stones are Old European cuts (approx. .20 each) and the smaller stones are single-cuts (huit/huit). The color of all the stones are very high, about F-G. The average clarity of the stones range between VS2-SI2. The material of the bracelet is 67 grams of solid platinum. There are multiple hallmarks on the clasp, most have worn away due to age. The French eagle hallmark is one of few hallmarks that remains legible. The narrowest parts of the bracelet is 0.6 inches and the widest point is 1.3 inches. The bracelet can fit up to a 6.5 inch wrist. Watch chains generally date to the Victorian era through the Edwardian era, this exact chain is likely Edwardian. The width of the links are 3.6mm, the length is 18 inches and the total weight is 22.6 grams. The condition for its age is excellent with only very slight signs of wear. It was made likely during the 90’s-early 00’s; one other variation is known with emeralds. The ring is made of 18k yellow gold and weighs 4.7 grams. There are 3 old-cut oval diamonds that total to about 1.5cts. Old cut oval diamonds is a very rare variation of old cut diamonds. The diamonds are about J-K color and VS-Si1 clarity. Russia during the rule of Romanov dynasty produced some of the most striking and beautiful fine jewelry in the world, and this ring is no exception. This ring was made during the reign of Czar Nicholas II around 1910. The center stone is a peridot that measures 11mm x 8mm x 4.5mm. The peridot is surrounded by rose cut diamonds; the diamonds have high clarity and a nice sparkle. The stones are set in silver. The silver has been tarnished to a gunmetal grey over time. The color is vivid pinkish red which glows immensely in natural light, especially sunlight. Rubies are known as the king of gems, and it is easy to see why. The most expensive and coveted orgin of rubies is Burma (Myanmar). Additionally, most rubies are treated with standard heat treatment to improve the color. The color of this stone is totally natural; it has not been treated in any kind of way. The fact that this stone is both Burmese and not heat treated, combined with the vivid color, makes this stone very rare. It was made in Vienna, Austria back when the Austria-Hungarian empire still existed during the late 19th century; there is a hallmark that indicates this. In addition to the Austrain hallmark, there is the makers mark as well. The star of the show is the 1.5ct old-mine-cut diamond in the center. It is fancy yellowish brown AKA ‘champagne’.
