2.47ct "stoplight" Red spinel with no/minimal secondary hues. This is as red as it gets.

There are NO ugly brown tones under any lighting conditions and it does not black out.

Gorgeous glassy body (nice crystal), medium to medium-dark open tone, a super pure red hue. It faces up totally eye-clean - save one tiny, surface-reaching inclusion all the way at one corner (it looks like a tiny abrasion - last photo). You really have to search to find it, probably wont notice it without a loupe (I don’t) and it is positioned perfectly to be covered by a prong.

Under a loupe, you'll find a few colorless, bubble-like inclusions that are mostly visible on the pavilion side.

It has moderate fluorescence (not super strong like the pink stones and not fully quenched like the dark ones) with no ugly brown tones in any lighting conditions.
