Hands-down the finest purple spinel I’ve ever seen.

The 1st 4 photos are in varying degrees of indirect lighting.

The last photo is not it's typical appearance, but thought it looked cool so included it. It shows the dispersion in sunlight. I was sitting in my car when I took the photo.

It’s so clean that I was suspicious about whether or not it was natural. Under a microscope however you can just barely detect the presence of octahedral spinel crystals, a tiny fingerprint, xenomorphic carbonate crystal, a tiny zircon inclusion and a few prisms of fluorapatite which prove it's natural origin - and are all very typical of Sri Lanka Spinel.
