I called this my "Fifty Shades of Blue" arrangment. Each ring is sold separately, and will be getting an individual listing once I find time ... but should anybody want the lot to recreate the look, I'm perfectly happy to offer the option!
Featured here we have, from bottom to top in the first photograph (and arranged variously in later shots):
- one platinum eternity band set with an unusually hued set of piercing pale blue french cut sapphires, size 5 1/8 verging on 5 1/4, great condition, $950
- one 14k eternity band set with bright, royal blue French cut sapphires, wonderful condition, size 5 1/2, $850
- one platinum band set with French cut jet or onyx, gorgeous engraving on the sides, size 6 1/2, $800. In this band, a few stones are a little loose in the channel but the (very well established, specializing in restoration of vintage pieces) jeweler I took it to said it was perfectly safe. There are a few surface abrasions on the stones under the loupe as would be expected for a piece this age featuring softer stones, but on the whole, I'd say it's in great vintage condition ... and though black and white was a perfect fit for the sleek, stark Art Deco aesthetic, not too many jet or onyx bands have survived. Rare!
- one genuine deco platinum setting, beautiful engraving, featuring a natural and untreated 6.32 blue zircon measuring approximately 11mm. Gorgeous engraving on the head, prongs, and shoulders, beautiful angular diamond-shaped struts between the prongs and providing structural support on the shoulders. Size 6.25, easily sized. Great as a diamond alternative if you want size and value refraction - among natural gemstones, zircons are effectively the most fiery stones after diamonds, and equally great in its own right as a right hand ring or in celebration of a December baby (zircon being the birthstone for December). The stone is a chameleon, appearing almost white in some lights, and a lovely, unearthly pale sky blue in others (see last photo). Asking $2700, willing to take offers!
The rings will be listed for a total of $5300: I'm willing to discount significantly if somebody would like them all together. Please e-mail me if you would like to make an offer, or have any questions! I'm told Loupe Troop has been having some issues with communication: if you've written to me without receiving a response, please feel free to get in touch via my shop on Etsy! https://www.etsy.com/shop/OtherwiseEngaged
