Description

This is a really nice red Garnet, Precision-Cut by Dan Stair. I would describe it as Medium-Dark, excellent saturation and cutting. It has a bright Red, only very slight orange (if any).

This is the closest to Red that I have seen in a Garnet, without being as dark as an Anthill. I believe it to be a Malaya (Mixed Species).

It weighs 1.31ct and measures 6.5mm. The stone is eyeclean.

If anyone is interested in the anthill Garnet, it is 6MM/1.0ct and I would sell it for $35/Shipped. It is also eyeclean, nice saturated pure red, but like all Anthills it is medium-dark to dark in tone.
