This is a custom made, one of a kind color-change alexandrite and diamond ring. It has a 5mm princess cut lab-grown alexandrite in a semi-bezel setting. It is complimented with 6 2mm gypsy-set full cut round diamonds. This ring is made of solid 14 karat yellow gold- it isn't hollow on the underside like many stamped pieces- so it has a wonderful weight to it. The center stone stands 5mm off the finger and the shank tapers to 2.5mm. Gorgeous! The alexandrite exhibits complete color change from bright purple in incandescent light to blue green in daylight. It also fluoresces blood red in a black light. This ring has signs of light wear that your jeweler can easily buff out. The stone faceting is crisp and shows no signs of abrasion.
