The total weight of the pair is .88. these were sold to me as unheated, with a Sri Lankan origin. The vendor listed them as being a medium corn flower blue and I would agree with that. They are a round Portuguese cut and do not have any visible inclusions that I can see. They also do not have any window or zoning. One stone measures 4.37x2.94 and the other stone measures 4.37 by 2.81. These stones would work as earrings or as side stones for a ring. They are well matched. I purchased these earrings about 2 years ago from another member of Loupe Troop. I have never taken these to be evaluated by a jewelry professional or antique dealer, due to the price point. These earrings based upon my recollection were sold to me as somewhere between 12 and 15 karat gold, but to be on the safe side I would assume that they are 9 carat because I have never had them tested. There are no gold purity marks on the earrings. The stones were sold to me as pink quartz and again I have never had this tested. These are a closed back earring with foil behind the stones. I think these came from some other larger piece of jewelry and were made from something that was dismantled, probably a necklace. The leaf design makes me think that these are probably very late Victorian or early art nouveau. They measure approximately 1.25 in top to bottom. These earrings also articulate and move nicely. According to my records I paid $385 for these plus shipping and I am starting below what I paid. Again, there's a lot I don't know about these, but the cost of the earring did not merit getting them professionally evaluated or appraised. It is a very wearable pair of earrings that are antique though. I also have a matching pair of natural aquamarines that are oval, 5x7 mm, that weigh 1.53 carat total weight. The origin is Pakistan. These tahitian pearl earrings are very pretty and have nice movement. The pearls are colorful with varying tones and undertones. I can't find any purity marks on the gold, but my recollection is that I was told they were 22kt gold findings. Putting them next to a ring I have that is 22kt, that seems close colorwise. It's possible these are lower OR higher in content because I can not find stamps on the findings. They are about 1.5 inches, from the top of the dangle to the bottom. They weigh about 9.4 grams on my scale. However, they aren't really heavy. The weight is distributed well. Pearls do have blemishes. However, they have beautiful color and are actually really pretty! They have nice luster as well. I have too many pairs of earrings, so I'm cleaning out my pieces where they will be worn. The wires are fishhook style and there are decorative tiny gold beads. Each earring is approximately 4 grams. They come with heavy-duty large backs, which is appropriate. I remember when I purchased them from Twist that the carat weight of the rubies was something like over seven or eight carats total, but don't quote me on that, because the paperwork that I received does not have that data. It's my memory though. The rubies are definitely embedded into the frame of the earring so they go further down in than what you can see. They are secure. These are Edison pearls and they have really, really excellent luster. They are honestly like little mirrors. When I say little, that's not really true, because they aren't that small. This is a large stud. They are not exactly the same size. One measures about 12.8 mm and the other is about 13 mm. The measurement is just the pearl. It's really almost impossible to measure the ruby spiral, because the rubies are not the same size at all. However, they probably add anywhere from 1 millimeter to 2 + mm to the size, depending upon where you measure. When I am measuring I am measuring the outer points of the rubies, so again, it's highly variable. Also, one stud has a much more rounded top and the other is flatter when you look at them on the profile. However, it is not visible while you are wearing them. I purchased these from Alex Park of Parks Fine Group a few years back. I have never set these and they have been sitting. Time to go where they will be used. I have had them since 2018. These are essentially a modified brilliant cut with straight geometric sides, very angular, or what I would call a pointy pear. I don't have a spec post from Alex saved, and I can't find one. I think they were sold from his IG stories. I have a recollection of being told F color, but I think F/G is a fair range. They are very white. I don't see any visible inclusions either and would say they are at a minimum eye clean, but you can look at the loupe photo. I'd probably place them in the VS range myself and my memory is that there were a VS clarity. These are not an exact perfect match. Close, but not perfect. They will work for earrings. I would not put them as ring side stones unless you do a moi et toi or something of that nature where you don't need perfect symmetry. One stone, measuring from the very tip of the point, to the bottom edge, is 6.6 mm and 4.1 mm wide at the widest. The other is 6.1 x 4 mm wide. For sale is a brand new pair of earrings purchased from a jewelry store in North Carolina called Jewels that Dance. The earrings are 14 karat white gold, with 42 points of diamonds set pave style, with approximately 80 points of sapphires. The two sapphires in the setting measure 6.5 by 4 mm. These earrings are approximately 1.12 in long from the top of the post to the bottom of the drop. These are darker-toned sapphires and are a deep blue but they do have some pretty color flashing that shows in the sun. However, these are more of a navy sapphire. Each earring is approximately 4 grams. They come with heavy-duty large backs, which is appropriate. I remember when I purchased them from Twist that the carat weight of the rubies was something like over seven or eight carats total, but don't quote me on that, because the paperwork that I received does not have that data. It's my memory though. The rubies are definitely embedded into the frame of the earring so they go further down in than what you can see. They are secure. These are Edison pearls and they have really, really excellent luster. They are honestly like little mirrors. When I say little, that's not really true, because they aren't that small. This is a large stud. They are not exactly the same size. One measures about 12.8 mm and the other is about 13 mm. The measurement is just the pearl. It's really almost impossible to measure the ruby spiral, because the rubies are not the same size at all. However, they probably add anywhere from 1 millimeter to 2 + mm to the size, depending upon where you measure. When I am measuring I am measuring the outer points of the rubies, so again, it's highly variable. Also, one stud has a much more rounded top and the other is flatter when you look at them on the profile. However, it is not visible while you are wearing them. BIG reduction! Brand new ring from Holly Hague Design for sale, featuring a precision cut aquamarine from Alex Weber. The cutting is beautiful and the stone is untreated. It is an extremley nice stone. The stone measures 8 x 10 and is 2.25 carats. He cut it and I purchased from him as the cutter. I had Holly Hague Design make a setting. Late art deco diamond ring, marked 14kt yellow gold and Pall, for palladium. I don't have a mandrel, but using interior measurements with calipers, somewhere between 6.75 and 7. Sizable. Top to bottom width at the widest part, prior to the taper, 10.4 mm. Shoulder to shoulder, where the face meets with the band, 17.3 mm. Center diamond measures about 3.8 mm in the setting. Cut looks to be a transitional to me. 10 additional accent diamonds, that measure between 1.2 and 1.5 mm in the setting, using my calipers. I would say that the diamonds are G/H/I color. These are from ShanAdam's Etsy shop a few years back and she still sells them, but at $525 for a pair. These have been sparsly worn and are in near new condition.
