I am listing my 1.58 G VS1 GIA XXX diamond for sale. It is in a platinum Vatche U-113 Tiffany Repro setting. The diamond is beautiful and was evaluated by Jonathan at Good Old Gold and it has ideal light performance! It has strong blue fluorescence which is beautiful if you happen to have a UV light! Otherwise, it has no negative affect on the stone. The ring is only a few months old and is in excellent condition, and with a light polish, the setting would appear new. This platinum setting was made by Leon Mege for my 7.6mm diamond. It is size 5.5 and in excellent condition. I upgraded my stone and am now selling this setting. I paid over $1600 and it likely would cost even more today. The head of the ring can be adjusted or replaced to take a larger or smaller stone. Stones close in size to mine might allow the ring to be used with no modifications, or just to the prongs. (This was what an appraiser told me when I posted this question on PriceScope.) This is a very fine quality antique style setting in platinum by Philip Press. It has an approximately 7.5mm cz in it, and it can fit probably 7.4-7.6mm easily, and possibly slightly smaller or larger. It has square diamonds in the shank and engraving, milgrain, and pave on the sides of the shank. The size is 6, and it would be best for a size 6 finger or smaller worn with sizing beads. However, the stones only go a little over halfway down the shank, so it technically could be resized a little as long as the jeweler could fix the engraving. I bought this setting new (closeout sample) to use for a colored stone, but I have bought a couple of others and simply need to reduce my empty settings! This is a very substantial platinum setting in new condition with beautiful hand engraving and diamonds in the setting. It was bought new and was a sample setting, so the center stone is a nice quality yellow radiant CZ, 6x8mm (it looks totally fine to wear as is). The bezel around that stone is tacked in the setting, so it can be easily removed by a jeweler and another colored stone cut to fit, or else prongs could be added to set another stone. That is why I bought it, but I have since had a similar setting custom made, and I just don't need to keep this one.
