For sale: A gorgeous dark opal ring set in a vintage-style sterling silver setting. I purchased the ring on here and have not worn it much, and it really deserves to be worn. The opal cabochon has the most gorgeous play of colors in every light - green, yellow, orange. It measures a substantial 15 x 11 mm and is set east to west. The setting is marked 925 for sterling and it has some other hallmark that I can't quite make out unfortunately. The ring is in excellent condition. There are a few minor scratches on the underside of the setting that could probably be buffed out by a professional jeweler. The opal is secure in the prongs and I don't see any scratches or chips with a 10x loupe. I do not know the provenance of the stone but it was sold to me as natural opal.
