Peter's precision step cutting gives it crisp geometry and wonderful visible steps. I purchased the loose spinel directly from Peter Torraca in 2015. In 2018, I worked with Ivy & Rose on a semi-custom antique-inspired white-gold setting specifically for this stone. The custom setting features delicate engraving, filigree and milgrain detailing with a diamond halo. I upgraded the diamonds when the ring was commissioned; the halo uses approximately 1-point / 1.3 mm diamond melee. The detailed vintage-inspired mounting contrasts beautifully with the very clean geometry of Peter's square step cut. It is a stunning ring!
