Oval amethyst is approx. 18 x 12.5 mm, surrounded by rich buttery gold. 8.2 grams. The gold work on this ring is beautiful. A rope design surrounds the stone and wraps down each side. The basket is an intricate vine/scroll design. Shows expected signs of wear for its age. Size 9 on my mandrel but I think it fits a bit larger. Sizable. This is not a subtle ring - it has great finger coverage and is very solid (8.3 grams). It is extremely comfortable to wear, and the soft curving lines means it doesn't snag easily. Currently a size 7 My camera was better at picking up minute signs of wear than it was at photographing the ring. It is in very gently worn condition.
