Beautiful, fabulously cut red Malaya garnet (Tanzania) by Peter Torraca. The stone has a rich deep color and incredible sparkle. It is red with slight orange modifiers. The stone is 3.14ct and measures 7.29x9.44x5.96mm. It is cut in Peter's 'Victoria modified' style. Beautiful vintage-style halo three stone ring with garnet center. Custom-made setting by Quest Jewelers - 18kt white gold with diamond shank, diamond halo, and two half-moon diamond sides. Beautiful engraved detailing from every angle (see photos). Center is a 2.09ct yellow grossular garnet cut by Gene Flanigan of Precision Gems. Stone measures 7.4mm on each side. Selling a lovely vivid mint green tourmaline set in 18kt yellow gold with a diamond halo. I've had this stone for several years and it is a lovely one - saturated mint green and great cutting. It was purchased at Intergem and I don't have the exact carat weight of this stone, but it measures about 7.5mm by 6.5mm. It's a great size on the hand. Gorgeously large and vivid mint green rectangular Afghan tourmaline, 5.74 cts. Cut by Jerry Newman. Stone measures 11.5mm x 9mm and is set in a simple 18kt white gold setting with small diamonds tucked in on either side. This stone is quite a special one. It’s vividness is amazing and the cut is quite cool - the top is a double corner rectangle and the underside more like a standard radiant cut. When I purchased it from Jerry he noted that it was one of his favorites and he was sorry to see it go. I’m selling it only because it’s simply too big for me as a ring. I’ve considered resetting it in a pendant, but I don’t really wear necklaces much. I’ve also considered having it recut to something smaller, and I may still do that. But it’s such a special stone so I thought I would see if another colored stone lover would want it in its big and bold original size. Stunning, saturated hot pink 3.21 cts pear Mahenge spinel. It is old stock Mahenge, purchased from Jaimeen at Prima Gems in late 2012. I’ve been hesitant to sell this stone as it is the pride and joy of my collection. It’s a wonderful size, vivid, neon hot pink and sparkles like mad. However at this point I’ve accepted that I’m never going to set it so hopefully someone else can benefit. Stone measures 7.9mm by 10.9mm and would look lovely in a ring or pendent. Offering a 2.2ct vivid reddish pink oval Mahenge spinel. Old stock, originally purchased by Jaimeen at Prima Gems in November 2012. This stone is a classic, top color Mahenge in every way. Extremely vivid neon reddish pink, glows in low lighting, catches your eye from across the room. Extremely high clarity. I hesitate very much to sell it, but I suspect that someone else will wear it more often than I currently do.
