Red/Purple cushion cut spinel, 2.41 carats, dimensions 8x6.4x5.5, expertly cut by Jerry Newman. The color is more reddish indoors and more purple outdoors. In direct sunlight the stone deepens to a dark purple. The stone is a very good size for spinel and has nice sparkle. I think it would look amazing set in white gold. I have included photos that show this spinel at it's best and worst color. The stone is basically eye clean, but in Jerry's highly magnified photo there are some slight inclusions. 1.43 Carat Old Stock Mahenge Spinel in David Klass Split Shank Diamond Setting. This is the last of the Mahenges that I am selling. Up for sale is a Sout East Asia, vivid spinel expertly cut by Dana Reynolds. This stone is 7x5 (not calibrated). This stone is a real sparkler! Dana called the color unusual as it is a blush pink (with occassional red and blue flahes on some facets) that shifts to a lavendar color with bright pink flashes. It was hard to photograph as this stone sparkles quite a bit, which my IPhone camera does not like. Diamond ring in 14k gold, size 6.25. One carat diamond in an un-plated white gold setting that contains approximately .30 carats of pave diamonds. Main diamond is white, with an I2 clarity (mostly clear wispy feathers, no cracks or chips) that still sparkles. Not a "dead" diamond. There is one pave diamond missing from the setting and whilst the setting is not well made, it stood up to my mother wearing it for 2 years before the tiny pave diamond fell out.
