This is a yellow gold, die struck, hand chased and carved band. It was made by Larry Van Craeynest at the original San Francsico factory before the company was sold and moved. The pictures say it all really, it is incredibly finely hand made, using original antique tools in the original way. For sale is this really sparkly, eye catching ring. She's very unique with flowing curves resembling a diamond encrusted ribbon. The diamonds total about 3/4 carat and are very white and sparkly. The seller who sold it to me said they're G, VS2 (GIA standards). The center diamond measures about 4.5 mm. There are six smaller single cut diamonds below the center and five above it. There are also two tiny diamonds at the very top, left side of undetermined cut. They're flat on top. The ring is 14k gold and there is a mark inside the shank, but I can't make out what it says. The ring measures about 17 mm tall (north to south) and 8 mm wide (east west) at the widest point. The shank is about 2 mm wide. It is a size 6 and sizeable. It's definitely a statement maker & I've never seen another like it! :) I purchased this a few years ago on Ebay, from a reputable seller, called Badis Jewelers. They described the band as, "14K Tri-Color 1.50 CTW Pave Set Diamond Milgrain Open Work Band." I cannot exactly recall the diamond color or clarity (I never imagined I'd be selling this ring). I know the color was very good (around F or G), but I cannot recall the clarity. I can say, the diamonds are very pleasing to the eye, and very sparkly! It's also a VERY HEAVY band, weighing a whopping 9.8 grams of 14K gold! It's marked "14K." My local jeweler measured the band. She stated it measured 11.1mm at the widest, but tapers down to 6.9mm in the back. Because of the tapering, it is a very comfortable band to wear. I had it sized up from a 6.5 to an 8. Badis Jewelers did the resizing, and did a superb job! I imagine it could still be sized up or down (within reason), since there is a lot of gold on the back of the band, but please consult your local jeweler to be sure. Since the band has so much open scrollwork on the front, it feels larger than a regular 8. It slips over my larger knuckles with ease, and fits more like an 8.25 or 8.5. I only wore it on special occasions, so it's still in excellent condition. I just had my jeweler do a deep cleaning & rhodium dip, so it looks pristine! I'm only selling it to fund my "holy grail" heart diamond on layaway. Up for sale is a GORGEOUS kunzite heart & diamond ring, by the famous Sonia Bitton. HUGE is an understatement! :) I purchased this on Ebay approximately 10 years ago. The seller stated the heart was 4.5 carats, and it was a natural Kunzite stone. I had my jeweler measure the Kunzite (in the setting). It's approximately 10.6mm by 10mm, but it appears even larger with the double diamond halo! It also has a split shank (with diamonds) & a well-made undergallery, that makes it comfortable to wear. According to the original seller, the diamonds are approximately .99 CTW, and are approximately G-H in color, and SI clarity. I can say they appear very white & sparkle like crazy. My photos don't do the Kunzite justice either! It's a gorgeous light purple color, with much more sparkle than my photos show.
