I bought this from JTV way back in the day. It was sold as a "pure" pyrope, which is supposedly quite rare, as most are mixed with other garnet varieties (like almandite and spessartite). It is 5.02ct and measures around 11x9mm. It's a scissor cut, which I love. The color is a deep, full-bodied blood red with the facets positively lighting up in large, electric flashes of scarlet. It's very brilliant and very fiery. Completely eye clean or better. This is not to be confused with those overly dark, dull, dead, brown-red garnets. This is probably the finest pyrope material you can buy, and it's just impossible to find in this quality and size. From Mozambique.

For your consideration is a beautiful 5 stone natural diamond engagement and wedding band set. The center diamond is a 0.6 carat round brilliant diamond and it is matched with 4 0.10 carat tapered baguette diamonds for a total 1.0 carat weight. This ring sparkles tremendously—more than I can fully capture with my phone. The band and ring are 6.5 and solid 14k yellow gold. The prongs are 14k white gold. They are not soldered together so they can be worn as a set or separately. However, the band has a custom dip so that it sits flush against the engagement ring in very pretty way. I affectionately call this piece "pink sugar," because that's exactly what it looks like to me. I believe the diamond color is 7P... so they will look something like the below image in person. They're not deeply saturated, obviously, but distinctly pink. No brown, orange, or purple. Clarity and cut are excellent... VS, ideal. Total carat weight is approximately 1.275ctw.
