Unbelievable one of a kind custom platinum setting made by Doron Isaak. Center stone is a precision cut ~9mm - 3.11ct Tanzanite. I purchased the setting from the original owner (PSers will recognize the setting) but unfortunately, I only got to wear it a few times before my knuckles made it impossible to wear. It currently has sizing balls and fits like a size 5.5. If the balls are removed, it will be approximately 6 - 6.5. It should be able to be sized up or down a bit, but not up to what I need now to get over my knuckles. PrimaGemsUSA (where I bought the stone) set it for me. The stone is semi-translucent, but is heavily included which means you don't always get an actual star when it's in the light. I purchased this ring last year from Jocelyn at Gilded Lane for $780. It was described to me as an antique portrait cut aquamarine approximately (10 x 15MM) 2.75 carats set in a 14K white gold setting with 8 single cut diamond melee on the sides. It was a size 4 when I bought it and sized up to an 8. ($150 cost). Therefore, there are no markings on the inside of the band but it’s 14K. Because of the portrait cut, it has the presence of 7-8 carat stone. I was drawn to this beautiful antique ring because of the uniquely cut stone and the subtle flashes of pastel blue when wearing.
