This beautiful ring hails from the Edwardian Era right at the turn of the century 1901-1915. Pearls, Platinum and Diamonds were popular in jewelry of this era which had a floral and feminine feel. Also know as Belle Epoque "the beautiful era" the style of light and airy jewelry utilizing platinum was a distinct swing from the heavier and darker mourning jewelry fashionable during the reign of Queen Victoria. This style remains one of the most enduringly popular and collectable eras of collecting within fine jewelry. This ring remains in excellent condition, carefully worn, with the band having been replaced at some point in history with 10k White Gold. The center features a cultured pearl measuring 5.5x6.0 surrounded by 8 hand cut Old European Diamonds of approximately 0.14 carat each, with additional diamond accents to the shoulders. The diamonds are beautifully sparkly, eye clean with natural inclusions visible under magnification, and near white. An absolutely beautiful example sure to be treasured.
