The ring is a perfect example of Victorian-era jewelry. The star of the show is a very large antique rose cut diamond. The diamond is massive and measures 11mm × 12mm. The stone is about Si1 clarity and near colorless (G-H) which is almost unheard of for genuine antique stones.

The setting itself is very cool and features a muscial-note esque black enamel detail which only adds the character. Originally, the diamond was closed back, but the seal was comprimised and the silver had tarnished, which made the stone dark and grey. The closed back was removed professionally allowing for light to pass through the stone.
