1.33 ct. spinel from Burma cut into a 7 x 5 mm oval. Eye-clean. The color is white - colorless. There is no purple or pink mod. It is the first and only PURE white spinel I've ever seen. White spinels are extremely rare, especially from Burma. The crystal is very clean and icy, none of that gray cast you often see in spinels. The combination of a very light tone, a crisp crystal, and a good cut give this spinel very nice spectral fire and sparkle. Spinel is completely natural and untreated. Spinels are not widely known in the jewelry market because good spinels are fairly rare. However, they make excellent choices for rings because they are durable and suitable for daily wear and they have high refractive index. Set in a 14 kt. white gold ring mount with 2 surprise diamonds below the head. Diamonds are clean and white. Ring is a size 6 and easily sized. I am happy to sell the stone loose as well.
