Stone: Ruby
Weight: .72 cts.
Clarity: VS
Dimensions: 5.39x 4.90x 3.42 mm
Design: Broken Moon brilliant (modified round brilliant)
Origin: Longido, Tanzania
Treatment: None (presence of silt seen with magnification)
Cut by: John B.
Notes: It is very rare that I list a stone with the color of vivid, but this is that rare time. This one of a kind untreated ruby from Tanzania was faceted from rough supplied by one of my best sources direct from Tanzania. Neither the photos nor the video reflect the true beauty of this stone. This vivid stop light red is outstanding with incredible brilliance. The stone was faceted with a rare design I named broken moon for it's unusual shape. This will make one heck of a center stone. The stone appears perfectly clean by the eye and with maginifaction you can barely see the silt and one tiny inclusion.

This is a really nice diamond, it does not have a certificate, but we guarantee that it is rated as noted
by our Certified Gemologist. This diamond has 2 small dark feathers along the crown at opposite ends.
These flaws are visible to the naked eye when the stone is loose, but we believe that when the stone is set in
a ring, the flaws will be hidden. You can see this at the 6 o clock position in the image above.
Our Certified Gemologist estimated value for this stone to be $3450.

1.53 Carat Diamond I - J Color VS1 - VS2 Clarity $7450. Image gallery
We just received this is a beautiful diamond that is very clean inside and out.
It is very sparkly and nice in color and appearance, our Certified Gemologist examined this diamond under a microscope and stated that this diamond appears to be a VS Clarity diamond. We couldn't find any inclusions inside this diamond other than a small cloud next to the table on the side, and we did see a small portion of the girdle contain a light bearded blemish This diamond is very good in proportion, please see the dimensions on the diamonds home page.

Stone: Blue color change spinel

Clarity: VVS-VS
Dimensions: 9.06x 7.52x 5.08mm
Design: Barion Oval
Origin: Ceylon, Sri Lanka

Notes: Cobalt blue spinel with one unusual aspect when under certain spectrum of fluorescent light it turns purple. Some would call it color change and others would call it a color shift. It reminds me of a color change sapphire. It is a wonderful stone to add to any collection. The stone has little to no gray and the tone of the stone is medium.
