Description

An untreated Ceylon blue sapphire of 11.02 ct.

The stone is richly saturated, eye clean and nicely cut with a good spread so it looks more like 14-15 carats face up - but without a large window which would normally be the result of this large a spread.

Its colour falls into the general cornflower range and some labs might give it a cornflower report, but we wouldn't advertise it as such because its tone occasionally looks too light for it.

Brilliance is good and the stone has no eye-visible inclusions.
