***ADDITIONAL INFO***
Ridiculously rare and difficult to find, this stone (along with the other two just posted) was hand picked from an ~800 ct. parcel of chrysoberyl rough that came from Madagascar.
The rough was so bluish we almost thought it wasn't chrysoberyl at first - but after a quick polish and a refractometer check it turned out to be one after all.
A part of its bluish tint stayed after cutting and the stone now looks more like a grossular 'mint' type garnet than anything else - with the added benefit of chrysoberyl hardness and toughness. The blue tint persists even in incandescent light.
It has a bit of extinction near the middle since the cut was purposely elongated to try to keep as much weight as possible, but it's not as apparent to the eye as it is to the camera (it looks gentler to the eye, while the camera sees it as a sharp cutoff, especially in the daylight images).
There's a single rounded crystal beneath the table visible in the photos but it's so tiny the stone still remains eye clean.
***COLORS AND ACCURACY***
All of our images are extensively, carefully and thoroughly edited and color-matched to reflect the stones in normal diffused daylight viewing conditions by editing with the stone and the monitor side by side in daylight. Consequently, the colors in the photos are as close as they get to reality when viewed on a normal monitor with a generic RGB display calibration profile - this includes most mobile devices but if in doubt, please always check on a desktop/laptop.
If you'd like more photos or videos of anything, please by all means just e-mail anytime.
***SHIPPING***
Tracked and insured shipping is included in the price.
***PAYMENT***
PayPal preferred under $1,000. Over $1,000 a direct bank TT is preferable but PayPal is still an option if their fees are covered.
***RETURNS***
Returns are totally okay but please note that they come minus the insured shipping costs paid to send you the stones. A government-issued invoice signed and stamped by Customs, government valuer-gemmologists and postal agents for stones + shipping comes within every parcel with the exact breakdown of shipping and insurance costs paid on export. Most of the time those amount to $55-60 for sub $1k value stones.
