I am listing my one and only Paraiba tourmaline to fundraise for medical bills. Stats: .25 ct., 4.01 x 3.75 mm. The photographs were taken with my iPhone and do not capture the NEON glow of this stone. It is not the pure Windex blue of the most expensive Paraibas and it has been priced accordingly. There is a green modifier, but I would definitely call it green-blue. There is a lot of blue in the stone. This tourmaline is from Paraiba Brazil, not Mozambique. It is faceted into a trillion shape. There are some inclusions in this stone as expected, but they are not readily apparent when viewing the stone. What is apparent is the COLOR! I have never seen a brighter or more neon stone in my life and I have seen a lot of gems. I have this stone priced below what I paid to help facilitate a quick sale. I offer free shipping in the US. I will ship out of the US for actual shipping costs.
Gemstone description: Paraiba tourmaline took the gemstone world by storm in the 90's. Discovered in the Paraiba state of Brazil, the gem world was stunned by the incredibly vivid neon colors. These rare gemstones are truly the stars of the colored gemstone world. With prices reaching the unheard of price of more than $ 30,000 per carat for the very best Windex blue stones, these special tourmaline gems have set the bar for semi-precious gemstones. Paraiba Tourmalines have a unique chemical property containing copper that imparts the special neon-like colors.
Thanks for looking! As a free gift, I am throwing in 2 collector stones - a cushion shaped Hackmanite and an emerald cut Goshenite.
