This is an extremely lovely ruby that came in a parcel of unheated ruby and, unfortunately, tested as heated during GIA QA batch testing, all others as unheated. Since I’m usually dealing in unheated ruby only, this one is up for grabs for a bargain price.

Weight: 1.08 ct
Dimensions: 6.90 x 5.90 x 2.70 mm
Color: purplish-red (classic “Siam old mine”, very close to Lotus color “Fuchsia”)
Clarity: eye clean
Comments: vintage stone, slight abrasions (visible in magnified pictures, not with naked eye), one natural in pavilion
Origin: Thailand (my assumption, based on gemological characteristics)
Treatment: heated, most likely heat-only, definitely not glass filled (guaranteed, GIA batch tested, copy can be supplied)
