Description

Danburite is a great gem if you are unfamiliar with it. It has nice brilliance, durability similar to Quartz (so its suitable for all jewelry purposes aside from an everyday ringstone), and its always untreated. It comes in Colorless, very pale pink, and everything from a pale yellow to a very intense yellow.

This, being the pale yellow, is the least costly of the yellows but, unlike the very saturated ones, it doesn't have the rutiles inside so its very clean and brilliant. It even shows some dispersion.

I had this piece of rough cut by John MIller (finegemcutting.com) and its a beautiful 7.6mm trillion. I am lising the stone for less than my cost of the cut, let alone the material.
