Great opportunity to own a fairly large, very reasonably priced example of this super-rare garnet. This small deposit came from Tanzania and was written up in the GIA article posted at the bottom of this listing. Great cutting on the piece, and nice color shift from purple (day) to pink (incandescent). The Rutile incisions are much less prominent in the hand--the camera really overemphasizes them.

Note this material usually sells for much more than what I'm asking.
